Lightweight and great pattern. It's not bulky, but keeps me warm. Comes with small pouch, the jacket fits in it so it's great for storage/travel.

I ordered medium and fits me well (I also have a powerfly vest in medium). I am 5'6'' 140 lb right now and can use hoodie underneath. The length of the sleeves is great, not to short, not too long. I like the fit because it's not loose on my hips as on the model, also the back of the arms are not as huge. It's better not to go a size bigger. Jacket also looks great unzipped.

I ordered black, can not go wrong with this color and will be always good. I can wear this coat with sweats to the gym and jeans and always looks good. My only wish is a hoodie, detachable on the inside would be just perfect for rainy/snowy days.

I can see that right now only Amazon has a great price and different sizes, so get it while you can!

Don't get me wrong, I love this jacket, but I put one star down because I expected it to be warmer. I live in Peru and I think a peruvian winter should not be a match for a down jacket, but.. at night (about 10-11ºC, 98% humidity) I get cold. I also have a sintetic Columbia jacket, about the same thick as my down jacket, and it seems to me it is kind of warmer. (The sinthetic jacket is light but not as lightweight as this downjacket and not so packable.)

Neverthenless I love this jacket, it looks great, fits great (I am 1.69cm tall, 54KG), is not bulky, it weights almost nothing, and is absolutly comfortable. I had a Northface down jacket once, similar style. The northface jacket let almost all the wind in, so it loosed a lot of warmth. The columbia jacket is much better that way, it has a better wind protection.

I've been using base layer tops and bottoms to sleep. The reason is that during the night, my regular pj tops and bottoms always ride up or down and parts of my body are exposed to the air. But base layers are tight and close to my body, almost like a second skin. I've joked that if I also added gloves and socks I could sleep without a blanky!

Joking aside, these Paradox bottoms fit really well and are true to size. Warm without being bulky. I recommend them to anyone wanting to stay warm. It's true that they don't have a fly opening, but the elastic is pretty stretchy and I can pull them down pretty easily.

I just received this vest in the mail today and I have to say, it's even better than I expected. I already own a Filson tin cloth Bush Hat and I have long been impressed with its quality and durability. This vest is no exception, it is extremely warm. So warm, in fact, that I could only wear it for a grand total of 60 seconds before having to remove it due to overheating while it was 75 degrees. This is definitely a cold weather vest, which works our very well because I bought it with hiking in the fall and winter in mind. The pockets are well placed and the stitching is top notch. The buttons are large and tight fitting in the slots which I really like.

The only thing I would change if I could, is that I would like to see the cloth being woven wool and not felted wool. That is the only reason I gave this four instead of five stars.

That said, I have a friend that has owned the same vest for twenty something years and it still is holding up well for him. He has put it through its paces while he worked for the National Forest Service and it took everything in stride. I have absolutely no doubt that this vest will outlast me and one day, one of my sons will wear it while working or hunting and find it useful even after all the years of hard use.

If you are looking for a good wool vest that is the best bang for your buck, this vest is absolutely it. Do not hesitate to buy this vest, it will not disappoint.

I became awear of Filson and their US made quality products a few months ago. I saw this vest at a store & I was impressed with it. I got a grey one that I wear over a long sleve shirt to work. I have two negatives. While it makes a fine outer wear garment say over a hooded sweatshirt it is a bit too stiff for inner wear over a typical permanent-press sport shirt. I don't wear t-shirts so some of the scratchiness comes through too. I really like the hand warmer pockets, but the upper vest pockets should be higher up on the chest.

Very well constructed and durable. And yes, made in America!

I was very skeptical of the price on this hoodyI'm used to coats/jackets of this type costing $20-30. So for over a hundred bucks, I had very high hopes for both the utility and style of this hoody. Luckily, I was not disappointed. It has great texture and seems relatively durable. It's also warmer than comparable hoodies, with insulating qualities somewhere between a regular hoody and a full-on coat. I've found that it's perfect for keeping warm on the walk home after the bars close.

My only reservation is about the quality of the zipperswhile they seem solid only time will tell if they hold up. The tag claimed Spyder has a warranty on materials and workmanship, and it looks like they're adamant about protecting their brand.

I got the white variety in size Large. I'm 6' and about 168lbs with a somewhat athletic build, and it fits me perfectly if a little bit generously.

This jacket was a great find. It's a little tighter than expected, but overall a very nice product. Arrived on time and in great condition. Upon opening and after several days of wearing I can say it's quality seems remarkable, much nicer than I expected and I will be a future customer of Spyder product again. The coat seems well suited for a spring afternoon but in reality it is quite warm even on a cool winter night. For as thin and light weight as it is I am very surprised how warm it is. I was worried about the mesh pockets, but the quality of the the material used does not make me worry... Yet. I wouldn't test it with a sharp object, but it certainly won't stretch and tear easily. The stitching is strong and the zipper appears to be able to take a fair amount of strain.

I'm not thinking I would be as happy if I paid full price but for the price I did pay, I am very happy!

I usually dont spend a great amount of money on ONE jacket or anything, but getting this on sale for under $100 was definitely worth it. The quality and fabric is awesome and feels great just wearing a t-shirt under. I live up north and the weather was still cold enough to want to wear something warm but not huge like a winter coat. This did that job. I'm not sure how it will hold up during months like December and January but it works great for spring and fall. I love the style of this jacket as well...I got the castlerock version. It goes well with almost anything. I will say though, if you have big arms its a bit tight in the armpit area. I got a large, fits everywhere else but the armpit area is a bit tight when i try to move my arms. If you are debating between sizes (like me, I fit large but my build is slightly larger) I'd get a size up.

I really needed an item like this: a silky feel, close fitting underlayer. But I was very disappointed with the size medium I ordered. It was so small that I quite literally couldn't get my head through the turtleneck! Now that was a first! I normally wear a 10 and the sizing chart you get when you're going through the ordering process is an Amazon sizing chart which says that a medium fits size 10 12. Guess what: Hot Chilis sizing is different! Check their website before ordering. I had to return the size medium. Yesterday the size large arrived and, though I am going to keep it, I am still somewhat disappointed in the odd sizing. Yes, I got it on and the arms are long enough and the body is close fitting (their sizing chart says this fits size 12 14 -not!) but there is tightness in the armholes and across the back. Too weird. The fabric is exactly what I wanted however and I'll make do but look for another brand if I get another turtleneck for a base layer in the future.

A year later: I take some of the above back. At the end of the winter season I had to admit that I reached for this base layer first -it became my favorite. It takes awhile to get used to the sizing; very close armholes, extremely close fitting body, tight neck. That said, all the other reviews that complained about the sizing must have had an effect because, having decided to get a second one of these, I ordered the large like I'd gotten last year and it is now too big! I will have to return it and get the medium which didn't fit me last year. No change in me, so it must be that they've fixed the sizing. When you finally get the size that fits you, you will like this top.

These are great travel pants! They're comfortable and durable, and they are easily hand-washed and hung up to dry overnight. I enjoyed wearing them at full-length and as shorts. (The shorts length is an appropriate length for travel falling at about the knees. They're cool enough for warm weather, but modest enough to not draw attention to you as a tourist.) At 5'6" and 140 lbs, I ordered the size 8, which had a little more room than I needed. But the drawstring waist allows you to adjust the pants, and the size 6 was snug enough that I worried about fitting into them if I gained any weight. (If you feel fairly certain that your weight won't fluctuate or if you don't mind the expense, I would probably go with a size 6.) I bought these for my wife as I have a pair of Prana's that are about identical for men and we loved them. We went on a 30 mile backpacking trip to the highest peak in Utah in October. We had temperatures well below freezing as well as 50 degrees in the sun and they felt perfect. My wifes one complaint is that they zip off very close to the knee which is an odd length for women as Womens are usually either a bit above the knee or are capri length. My wife wears between a 4 and 6 and we went with a 6 and fit nicely so if anything it ran a little small.

Also a note on durability when we came down the mountain we went down a rock slide and the pants held up very well. The green also masked the amount of dirt from sliding down more than 1,000 feet on the rocks.

Love love love these pants! Often times hiking/ convertible pants look completely dorky even on the thinnest of people. Not these! These are super flattering and super comfortable! I bought them in three colors. They were my only shorts/pants for a 4 month trip to Asia. They wash and dry really fast and are perfect for travel in any weather and going to any occasion outside of a black tie event. They can be dressed up or down. I wore them hiking and all had no issues with passing them off as nice slacks. Can't go wrong with these!

I bought a size 4 as i generally go between a 2-4. The 4 was too big. I exchanged for a 2 and this is what i currently own. I reccomend going down at least one size if you teeter between sizes. Even the 2 is a bit loose and if they had a zero in stock i would have exchanged to even smaller. You will love them.
