I was very skeptical of the price on this hoodyI'm used to coats/jackets of this type costing $20-30. So for over a hundred bucks, I had very high hopes for both the utility and style of this hoody. Luckily, I was not disappointed. It has great texture and seems relatively durable. It's also warmer than comparable hoodies, with insulating qualities somewhere between a regular hoody and a full-on coat. I've found that it's perfect for keeping warm on the walk home after the bars close.

My only reservation is about the quality of the zipperswhile they seem solid only time will tell if they hold up. The tag claimed Spyder has a warranty on materials and workmanship, and it looks like they're adamant about protecting their brand.

I got the white variety in size Large. I'm 6' and about 168lbs with a somewhat athletic build, and it fits me perfectly if a little bit generously.

Love this jacket! I've had 2 North Face Apex Bionic jackets so this is my third softshell and my favorite so far. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the material isn't as water resistant as my North Face's were. This material is much softer though so it has its advantages also.

This jacket was a great find. It's a little tighter than expected, but overall a very nice product. Arrived on time and in great condition. Upon opening and after several days of wearing I can say it's quality seems remarkable, much nicer than I expected and I will be a future customer of Spyder product again. The coat seems well suited for a spring afternoon but in reality it is quite warm even on a cool winter night. For as thin and light weight as it is I am very surprised how warm it is. I was worried about the mesh pockets, but the quality of the the material used does not make me worry... Yet. I wouldn't test it with a sharp object, but it certainly won't stretch and tear easily. The stitching is strong and the zipper appears to be able to take a fair amount of strain.

I'm not thinking I would be as happy if I paid full price but for the price I did pay, I am very happy!

I usually dont spend a great amount of money on ONE jacket or anything, but getting this on sale for under $100 was definitely worth it. The quality and fabric is awesome and feels great just wearing a t-shirt under. I live up north and the weather was still cold enough to want to wear something warm but not huge like a winter coat. This did that job. I'm not sure how it will hold up during months like December and January but it works great for spring and fall. I love the style of this jacket as well...I got the castlerock version. It goes well with almost anything. I will say though, if you have big arms its a bit tight in the armpit area. I got a large, fits everywhere else but the armpit area is a bit tight when i try to move my arms. If you are debating between sizes (like me, I fit large but my build is slightly larger) I'd get a size up.
