REVIEW

Having the ammo mule for five months, I can proudly say that it has served me well. But instead of carrying ammo or other armory-related things, I stow EDC and general items. The ammo mule is then housed inside my favorite backpack: the 5.11 RUSH 12. Consequently, I don't make a mess in spilling or removing its load. And the ammo mule's contents are hidden from view should I open my backpack with others present. Another bonus is that since the ammo mule is already a tote, I can carry its contents with me if I don't need the RUSH 12. So in addition to organization and security, I have speed and flexibility. Finally, the bag isn't only for the shooting range or backpack use; it's for a variety of activities. It even makes for a dressy lunchbox that goes well with a formal attire like a business suit. Overall, the 5.11 All Hazards Ammo Mule has given me multiple uses and plenty of convenience with my gear.

These shorts felt fantastic as soon as I pulled them on. They are so comfortable. Like a second skin. The leg openings do not have any rubber leg grippers but they fit snug enough and do not ride up. I took them for a 15 mile ride today and they were great. Looking forward to wearing them on longer rides. The padding is very nice and not too bulky. I have tried PI shorts and do not like them. I have a pair of PI tights and the padding is too bulky like a giant maxi pad between the legs. I will stick with LG. All my other shorts are LG. I got these shorts for 20% off which was nice. Not sure I could bring myself to pay full price. I would definitely buy these again.

Review of Tilley Tilley Winter Hat

This is my second Tilley's winter hat (I like the different colors!) and I couldn't be more satisfied with a cold weather hat. I got the first one in 2004 and it has been my preferred hat for winter. A fully brimmed, wool hat is excellent protection from the elements, keeping the wind, rain, sleet and snow away from your face and neck and Tilley's Winter hat has the perfect brim length and design to perfectly balance function and form, in my opinion. Not only does it look and work great, but, like all Tilley products, it has some very unique, practical features. First the ear flaps; they are always there. Tucked up inside the hat they can be forgotten about, they're that unobtrusive. But when the temps drop or the wind blows, just pop 'em down and they provide all the comfortable protection I need, even during the worst Montana winter. Next, the wind band; it doesn't look like much, and is also unobtrusive, but it really does work to keep you hat on your noggin in a big blow without feeling restrictive. And then the forehead protector; once again, unobtrusive when not in use, but just the thing to give extra protection to the sensitive forehead sinuses in frigid or damp weather. The construction is excellent, the materials top rate and the design, brilliant! My only issue was in the shipping from the merchant... The shipper carelessly scrunched my hat in a flat-rate box and in doing so folded the brim under itself. The ugly brim crease is finally starting to go away after a few weeks and I think it will eventually work itself out completely, but it presently gives the hat a somewhat out-of-kilter look. It was not so bad that I wanted to take the time to return it for another which I'm certain the shipper would have done, but purchasers may want to be aware and request careful packing of their new hat.

I received a Tilley Hat for Christmas '06 and liked it so much that I gave one as a gift for Christmas '07.

It does an awesome job of keeping the head warm and yet your head doesn't sweat either. The ear flaps are a nice hidden extra whenever the temperature really dips down below freezing.

It may lack the sharp look of a high quality felt hat, but things are so much more casual these days, it fits right in with most activities.

If you can get past looking like an "old timer" (which I am anyway) you won't be disappointed with this hat.

This bra was soft and smooth, but was so tight I could hardly get it on. I can't even imagine trying to get it off while sweaty after working out! The band that runs around just under the bust line has almost no stretch which makes getting it on/off a challenge. I sent it back for a refund. With so much size inflation these days I usually have to order a small or extra small, I am a 32/34B and I ordered a small which perhaps was true to size and way too small for me!

I read the reviews before purchasing and took the advice to buy a size bigger. I ordered medium and I'm a 32-34A. Well, it runs small to say the least. And yes, it really does compress "the girls". So if that's what you're looking for then this is a great sports bra. It's well made, the material is great. For me I didn't find the fit comfortable or particularly flattering.

This is a wonderful sports bra! It really holds and is COMFORTABLE. I tried this on a a local store and paid over $50. I usually wear a small, but the salesperson (This store is fantastic to help with fit, but is pricey.) told me to try on a Medium. Well, of course I had to try on a small, anyway! And it WAS much too small. The Medium fit great and I really think this is the best sports bra I have ever owned.

First of all I am 6'5" 214 lb. and the XL fits great (besides minor issues mentioned below).

Negatives:

When I use the thumb loops there is some light discomfort (sleeves a hair too short), but minor and still usable.

The neck is uncomfortable when fully zipped up. Rubs a bit on adams-apple, a problem I usually don't have with zip ups. It is strange because the neck opening is not tight it just lies/is formed strange(I have a smaller neck). Like the thumb loops, it is bearable just a minor discomfort. If I was really cold I could probably tolerate it.

The lighter waffle fabric under the arms/forearms is already pilling badly after only one gentle (front-loader washer) washing. So durability may suffer but likely just aesthetics will.

Positives:

Color is great.

Breathes really well. The lighter fabric under the arms noticeably increases the breathe-ability.

Is fairly warm for it weight (weighs in at 14.5oz yes I do lightweight backpack and weigh my outdoor clothing)

Overview:

Even with its problems, if you can get it for the cheap price like I did ztwenty sixr, then I recommend it.

If you must pay anywhere normal pricing than I advise that you look elsewhere.

As a Steelers fan, I was amused with such an umbrella. The best features: Double canopy, 62 inches wide, its the Pittsburgh Steelers for crying out loud :-), amazing grip, and one time it was raining and a strong wind came in and my umbrella didn't pop out like all my old ones did. might i add while at the bus stop a cute girl asked to stand under my umbrella. she made me feel like a boss. ;-). This umbrella has made my life more cooler and better during rainy, snowy, and haily days (if haily is even a real word that is). the only thing i don't like is that now that i own a big umbrella, i cant fit in my locker at work because of its massive size making it very difficult to keep away from people when i walk away. and i have to leave it out in the open in the break room and my biggest fear is that one of my co-workers may steal it. and also there's no loop or hook on it to hang it up. oh yeah, and also don't bring it on an extremely windy day. my friend also bought this exact umbrella and on a strong windy day, his snapped and broke in a heart beat by the wind. although mines didnt, i decided not to bring mines out on very windy and rainy days. just, "rainy days" in order to be safe. but hey, what do you expect? its a big umbrella. despite all the negative. . . . . I LOVE IT!!!!!

These pants are basically tights and do a good job at keeping you warm. They fit pretty tight (as a baselayer should) and keep you warm by using both the material and compression. The only issue for me was that they fit a little long. I am 5'8" and the medium size was a little long which led to some bunching towards the bottom, but this is easily manageable.

I have taken this bag through several countries and about 20,000 miles of travel so far... it has been a great choice! My only complaint is that it tends to tip over with the daypack attached if it is fully loaded, this is easy to avoid by habitually leaning the front of it against a wall if you have to let it go.

The large bag is an ideal size for a checked-bag on the plane, it will accomodate a weeks worth of clothes comfortably and is easy to close when full. The wheels are pretty rugged, being large and well-placed; I am careful with wheeled luggage after several broken pieces through the years but find these to be holding up well. The handle is sturdy and I haven't had any issues with it binding or sticking yet. There are large and comfortable carry handles on the top and side, making it easy to load/unload from vehicles and luggage racks. The shoulder straps hidden in the back panel are functional, though I wouldn't want to use them for more than a few minutes at a time; great if you encounter stairs in a subway station or hotel, but not a hiking pack of any kind.

The carry-on bag is a little on the small side, keeping a laptop and accessories and a DSLR is about all it will take; there is room for wallets, phones, passports and the like in the front compartment. The water bottle holder on the side is a fantastic place to keep an umbrella (I took it to London and was very glad for this). It stores nicely in the overhead bin on the plane.

My favorite coup with this pack so far has been at the left luggage storage in Paris and Dubai, when zipped together you only get charged for storing ONE piece of luggage! This will save you enough that the bag will pay for itself in about a year...

Overall my opinion is that this is the best solution for the frequent air traveler; it is easy to roll on pavement or concrete, you can always put it all on your back for a flight of stairs or unprepared surface, it is well-built and sturdy, it doesn't seem to show dirt easily. I have recommended it to my friends and family.

Got this bag last minute before a month long trip traveling around in Europe. This thing has survived the snow, falls, and so much abuse and it still looks like it's brand new. The best thing about it is the removable backpack. It's one of the best backpacks I've ever owned thanks to all the pockets and design.

I noticed that the luggage side view width is pretty big. It was hard to squeeze it into my trunk of my car.

The material is pretty strong. I use it for traveling for work and will be using it for my 2 week vacation. The detach backpack is great. When I get where I need to, I just detach the backpack off. Telescope works well.

I was hesitant to spend on this casual sweatshirt, but it's a keeper. It has a wonderful soft worn in feel, and an item I could see myself wearing as often as possible. I like the 3/4 length sleevesmeans not constantly pushing them up, and overall, while this is an over-sized item, it runs true to size (I'm 5'6", size 8 (29/30) in pants, Medium otherwise, and a Medium in this item was great). I appreciate the strategically oversized style of this hoodie. It's kind of a difficult technique to get right, so I'm glad that this turned out to be what I was looking for. I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay full price for it; I got the black one, and it was priced about as much as a standard college sweatshirt, which seemed fair. I am 5'4" and generally wear a medium (or size 6) in most things, and this medium seems true to size. The length sits a bit lower on my hips than it does on the model (obviously, because I'm shorter), but I like it and it doesn't look sloppy. This hoodie is great for reading and cuddling. Seriously.

First, the short is available in extra small which fit my 36.5 inch hips very snugly. The massaging effect of the snug fit through the hip was important to me as my hips ache from over 30 years of running. The construction of the short, i.e. side and rear seam positions, seem to enhance the fit. The weight of the fabric too seems a good compromise for support and comfort while running certainly in the cooler temperatures I've worn the short.

The rear centered pocket is a fine addition. Its size allows me to carry my phone with me without an arm band or waist style pocket. I can set the running app to track my run and easily hear the updates if I am not in traffic.

A seemingly incidental addition is the diamond shaped gusset. This 3.5" long and 1.5" wide gusset is key to the comfort of this snug fitting short. Other fitted shorts while not as snug as the Sugoi can be uncomfortable because of rubbing from the intersection of the seams.
