Discount Mizuno Running Women's Breath Thermo 1/2 Zip Top
This layer piece is stylish enough to wear with jeans and functional for cool weather running. The tech of this fabric returns heat to your body when it encounters moisture. In other words, on a cold running day, you stay warm when you sweat. The fit is slim, but true to size.

Review of Russell Athletic Men's Big & Tall Dri-Power Short Sleeve Polo
Has good fit and material but they now come with a ridiculous silk screened on label at the bottom left front of the shirt which says, "Dri-Power"
The label is about 1 1/2" x 1/2" is immediately noticable and draws the eye to it on a darker shirt.
The odd thing is they sent me one with this label silk screened on the shirt and one without, the one without it had a different label at the neck than the other.
The one without it the neck label was in white lettering, the one with it the neck label was in red and blue lettering.
I have not found a way to remove it so I won't be buying any more of these, unless I find out they have removed that label.
Also, I bicycle about 12 miles every day commuting to university and back, and live in a very hot, humid climate. Cotton clings and holds the heat in and makes a mess. These shirts.. don't. They're cool, and I look good when I get to uni. A few minutes indoors and the shirt is dry again.
Unfortunately, I was washing them in the regular laundry. They shrink in high heat, so now they've gone from XL-T to plain old Large, and I can't tuck them in anymore. On doing some research, synthetic fabrics tend to shrink a bit in high heat.
Durable, comfortable, well made but no matter what the care instructions say, make sure to wash cold and hang to dry to keep them the right size.

Got several of these shirts, as I was born with an extra long snake torso and a build that puts all my fat in my belly. I'm 6'5"" and weigh 275 lbs and the 3XLT size (54-56) was not the true size. It was a tad small both in the length of the shirt, the shoulders, and around the neck. So I'm going up exchange it for size 4XLT.

Reviews of Canada Goose Women's Trillium Parka
There are a few disappointing issues with this jacket:
1)The collar has absolutely no insulation what so ever (just a stiff,flat collar) and stands away from the neck. When the hood is up, and pulled tightly, it does nothing to pull the collar in, but pulls whole jacket up. Less expensive and more stylish coats have far superior wind proofed collar and hood designs. When the collar is zipped up all the way it bumps up against the chin. You must wear a gator or scarf to keep your neck warm, even if the weather isn't that cold.
2) The two-way #10 YKK zipper is somewhat difficult to allign at the bottom...It takes a few tries to get it to slide. My husband's old LL Bean parka has a #5 plastic zipper with metal sliders that works much better.
3)The fill seems a little on the sparse side...not up to some of CG's other models. On really (single digit)cold days, a heavy sweater was necessary underneath.
4) The hood is way to big for a woman's coat.
There are some good things (which is why I bought it): The classic snorkel stlye that won't look dated, the engineering of the deep set knit windbreaker cuff in the sleeve is excellent-you can wear any length glove with no fuss. They should have put the same level of thought into windsealing the neck. The shell fabric is amazing: the snow/sleet/rain practically bounces off of it. The high quality fur trim on the hood is luxuriously thick and detachable, but it is not functional...I would rather less fur and a puffy,snug fitting, down filled collar for my money.
I had to wear the jacket a few times to be aware of its shortcommings and don't want to return it. It is well made and will be OK for typical east coast winter weather...but if you want a garment for seriously cold temps, you should spend the extra $100 or so bucks and go for the CG's Expedition model.

I've never had a coat that blocked the wind as well or was as snow/rain proof (it bounces off!). I'm 5'4", and for me the size XS coat is the perfect length, falling at mid-thigh so your backside is totally covered for warmth but it's not long and cumbersome. The drawstrings on the waist are great and give a puffy parka a surprisingly sleek, feminine cut. I like the lining/inserts on the cuffs with the knitted material. They are really long and stretchy so you never, ever have gaps between your coat and gloves. Also, I don't agree with the other reviewer about the hood issue: the hood has a strap for adjusting in the back, so you can make it as large or small as you want (maybe she didn't notice this?) Lastly, the fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets seem awkwardly placed at first, but they free up the lower pockets for other things and keep your arms tucked up next to you for extra warmth.
Now the bad:
I think the fur ruff, although very luxurious, is over-the-top and not very functional. Also, the top and bottom of the coat seem to be slightly disproportionate. I have wide hips and a relatively large bust for my height/frame (I normally wear size 2-4 clothes), and the coat fits VERY snugly around my hips but is super loose around my chest and especially my arms, which is weird. I can easily fit my thickest winter sweaters underneath. Finally, the zipper is indeed a bit flimsy and sometimes catches the fabric while zipping up.
Other reviews mentioned the collar this coat is definitely designed to be worn with a scarf. However, the sleeves have an inner layer around the wrists that you can pull down, and with your hands in the big front pockets there is no need for gloves.
be warned that the silhouette is bulky (particularly in the trillium style that i have). i would recommend avoiding black to give it a bit more style. my mother is going with the kensington parka design which supposedly has a better silhouette.

Best Deals for Canada Goose Women's Trillium Parka
I received this jacket as a gift from my husband after complaining about the cold 10 minute walk from the train station to home. We live in Toronto Canada and we usually have pretty cold winters (this year being an exception). Jacket is very warm and the side slits for hands is warm enough that you don't require gloves if you keep your hands in your pocket. The zipper is a little difficult to work not sure why but I got the hang of it after a few tries. I'm usually a size XS or 2 but ended up getting the XXS, sleeves are perfect as I'm always afraid that a smaller size means shorter sleeves. For reference, I'm 5'7", 110 pounds and this fits perfectly. There are cords on the inside that you can pull to cinch the waist to give it a little more shape. Prior to purchasing this jacket I also tried the Kensington design and found this one much more functional although the Kensington did "look" nicer. Given the choice I still picked this one and I'm sure I will be wearing this for years to come. I purchased this parka in Berry and absolutely loved the features and how cute it looked in this colour. Unfortunately, I wore the parka only once for 2hours and the pink color bled over all of my clothes! When I took my coat off, to my surprise, my jeans and white top were covered with streaks of pink! I tried washing my clothes, and looks like they are stained for good. As much as I love the look of this coat, I can't continue to wear it for fear of destroying the rest of my clothes! Very comfortable. Normally wear smalls and size 0-2 but used a medium in this suit. Most all of these lifeguard suits run small. Bottoms have a drawstring. Top is like wearing a sports bra. Not great for tan lines, but is great for moving around and staying in place. Top is lined, but no cups or padding.

Best CatEye TL-LD130 Tail Light Deals
I got the White 3-LED version of this light for the front of my bike, and love it (there's a 5-LED version, too). In researching bike lights, I came across the seeing / being seen distinction, something a lot of riders seem unaware of. Flashlight / headlight units aren't very attention-grabbing, and when driving the car, I have noticed how easy they are not to notice. Since I ride in a well-lighted city, I don't need a headlight, but I do need to be seen and noticed. And if I did need a headlight, I'd have two lights, one to see, and another to be seen, since the two functions are quite distinct.
~ Another thing I noticed from driving: a light that has separate elements blinking non-simultaneously is a lot more noticeable than a single blinking light or a multi-light blinking as a unit, which could be mistaken for a steady light coming into and going out of view (many of the lights in a busy street come into and go out of view as cars maneuver around one another). Lights blinking "against" one another provide a kind of visual reference for one another that distinguishes them from the common flow of moving lights.
~ These white, separately-blinking lights are a major step up in front noticeability from the usual headlight units, whether the latter blink or not. If you need a light to illuminate your way, get a light suited to that purpose. (Planet Bike's 1-watt Blaze is a very cost-effective one.) But for being seen from the front, the WHITE Cateye TL-LD150 or TL-LD130 (5 and 3 LEDs, respectively) are the best available candidates.
~ Sorry for the length, but I feel that the details are necesary to make the case for these lights. A headlight is not a substitute for one of these.
Light module itself can be remove alone for battery change or other purpose.
Most importantly, it comes with batteries!

The light itself is great. It comes with two different options for attaching it to your bike: (1) a loop to go around a post or (2) a belt-clip. The problem is how it attaches to the different attachment devices. It slides into a slot until it clicks. It seems really secure...until you go over a hard bump when going fast downhill. I heard it smash to the ground, and I expected that the belt-clip had slid off, but that part was still attached to my pannier. The light detached itself from the belt-clip. This is after about 2-3 weeks of use. It was in pieces all over the road. Basic functionallity needed so dont be expecting any amazing light show.. but for what is actually needed from a Safety Light, it does the work really good !. The best part is how simple is to attach and detouch from my son's bike. It also come with an extra "attaching piece" that allows me to use it with my bike tool bag. Really good for the price. After having my taillight stolen (and, before that, my bike stolen), I got this safety light, after receiving the golden advice from a coworker put your light on your bag. That way, you don't forget to grab it off your bike. Plus, very often it's at a better height for drivers to see it and not obscured by your... rear. And this light is great the clip is sturdy and holds well, and the light is very bright. Best Giro LX Gloves Deals
Lovely quality of material & workmanship. The sizing runs a bit small. I normally wear a size L glove,
but I had to exchange for an XL. Even the XL are a bit tight. Overall, these mitts
are beautiful.

Best Deals for Giro LX Gloves
The gloves are nice, but for the price I expected a perfect fit. I tried large, but they were too small. They were so tight I could barely get them off of my hand. I returned them for the next size up but now they are too big. I've had many other Giro gloves and the sizing has been perfect. I'm not sure why it's so off with these gloves.Just want others to be aware that they may not fit.

These gloves are made of fine quality soft leather and great craftsmanship. Based on my experience, I would recommend buying them one size larger than your normal size, since I am a natural medium in all other brand gloves (Assos, Mavic, Louis Garneau, Pearl Izumi, Castelli, Giordana) and with this particular size glove the large fit me perfectly. Best Rawik Men's Cirque Bib Deals
I selected this bib as an inexpensive option for a ski trip. It worked adequately well. Med size was a bit larger than I expected, especially through the shoulder straps. Fine for warmth, no obvious flaws in fabric or stitching. Kept me comfortable & dry even after crashes in damp snow, but failed when tested against the puddles of icy water on the chair lift seats. All in all, an adequate & inexpensive option for ski wear.

Review of McNett Tent Sure floor sealant with foam brush, 8oz
The urethane coating on the floor and bathtub sides of my 15 year old Kelty was starting to bubble and peel. After a call to Kelty, they recommended McNett Tent Sure Floor Coating to repair the failing urethane. It went on almost like water and it only took about 20 minutes to coat the entire 4-person-compact-dome inside floor and bathtub sides, plus two door panels: 68 sq ftfloor alone.. It was remarkably easy to apply: I used a wider brush as a previous reviewer had suggested. The preparation of the tent was another story.
The urethane had started to "flake" off leaving jagged little flag edges that were difficult to remove. I scrubbed the coating with a dry, stiff bristle deck cleaning brush and followed that up with a green Scotch Brite pad. Alcohol did not work well and rendered the existing coating into a goo on the sample spot I cleaned with alcohol.
After the dry brush, there were still little flags of urethane on the edges where the old coating came off, but I charged ahead. For the most part, the tiny flags were "glued" down with freah coating on top and bottom of the flags, and I don't expect a problem.
This product left a very thin urethane coating on top of the bare nylon material and integrated well with the existing coating that was full of checks and "cracks". After the 24 hour dry, I sprinkled after-shower body powder onto the floor and blew it around with a weed bower to prevent any tacky spots from sticking after I fold the tent up. I will report how it holds up after 10 day October and 10 day November 2011 trips.
On a secondary note, I bought a Eureka backpacking tent in 2009 and while it was new, I set it up and sealed all seams with McNett Seam Sealer. That took all of 20 minutes and was a remarkable product as well. Checked the seams in Aug 2011 during 6 nights at Sturgis and all treated seams looked as good as new (could not even see the McNett sealer). So while I was doing the floor of the Kelty anyway, after the 24 hour dry time, I sealed all the seams of the Kelty too. Very easy to do and used the little angled circular brush provided on the seam sealer bottle. It seems the product is similar but the seam sealer was dry in 2 hours (91 degrees ambient) while the floor seal was tacky after 2 hours.
Note to tent repairers: ALWAYS SEAL THE SEAMS FROM THE INSIDE, even though the bottle shows applying to stake out points on the outside. From previous seam sealing experience, when the sealer does eventually start to delaminate, it will create little funnels that direct water right into the needle holes and into your tent. You will not have that happen if you seal from the inside, even if the sealer delaminates. Years ago, I almost ruined an expensive tent applying seam sealer to outside of tent.
One bottle was enough for mine.
As the product name indicates, this sealant is for a flat surface.
It can be easily applied using a supplied sponge brush, and replacement brush can be found in local Michaels' or similar paper/craft stores (~$1 ea). Drying takes 1-2 hr but instruction says a good 24 hr for complete drying.
Once applied/dried, there is no visible film/residue. This may not be ideal as a seam sealer due to this.
However, treated tent floor is noticeable different even at the point of folding my tent.
Now floor sheet feels a little stiffer and becomes harder to fold without pushing trapped air out.
Once air is out, no problem with folding treated floor.
I think even air is less penetrable after sealing.
Now, I am waiting for next camping season to test out how effective this treatment is :

This coating works definitely.
Most camping trips were dry but one in October Yosemite was worst of all.
My tent survived it.

You will not have that happen if you seal from the inside, even if the sealer delaminates. Years ago, I almost ruined an expensive tent applying seam sealer to outside of tent.

I use this product to water-proof my 12x9 feet tent floor.One bottle was enough for mine.
As the product name indicates, this sealant is for a flat surface.
It can be easily applied using a supplied sponge brush, and replacement brush can be found in local Michaels' or similar paper/craft stores (~$1 ea). Drying takes 1-2 hr but instruction says a good 24 hr for complete drying.
Once applied/dried, there is no visible film/residue. This may not be ideal as a seam sealer due to this.
However, treated tent floor is noticeable different even at the point of folding my tent.
Now floor sheet feels a little stiffer and becomes harder to fold without pushing trapped air out.
Once air is out, no problem with folding treated floor.
I think even air is less penetrable after sealing.
Now, I am waiting for next camping season to test out how effective this treatment is :

This coating works definitely.
Most camping trips were dry but one in October Yosemite was worst of all.
My tent survived it.

I put this on a new 2 man tent I purchased for camping, some initial tests with a hose indicate that it does repel the water better than without it. Reviews of Hot Chillys Men's Mid Volume Sock
I bought these for snow skiing. They are comfortable, relatively lightweight and kept my feet warm and dry. They also have a good quality feel and build. What more can you say about socks? Definitely recommend.Absolutely love these socks! I've bought all three thicknesses and use them for different weather/activity options. Very comfortable and keep the tootsies nice and warm.

O'Neill Skins Long Sleeve Crew Tee Reviews
I normally wear a large in most shirts. I couldn't even get the large on. It was way too small. I ended up returning it. It did seem to be well made, however.
Later I got an "O'Neill Wetsuits Basic Skins Rash Tee" which is a short sleeve "TEE" and had many reviews saying that it fits "true to size" for what size regular t-shirt you wear, so I got a large which fitted me great, maybe even a tiny bit too big.
So I was on the hunt for that rash "TEE" in a long sleeve version and I thought this was it and I ordered it in a large thinking it'd fit like the short sleeve "TEE". It does not. It is way too small. It fits like the basic skins long sleeve crew surf shirt. So go with sizing from those reviews. Other than that, I like it and will get it in the correct size.

This is my fifth O'Neill rashguard I have bought for BJJ/Grappling over the past few years, and I couldn't be happier with them. I am a BJJ black belt with over 15 years in the art, and have gone through a ton of gear over the years. O'Neill rashguards are the best quality, best fitting shirts I have worn; every time I experiment and buy a popular (and much more expensive) shirt from an MMA/BJJ company I always end up disappointed in either the quality or the fit. And then I promise myself I will never buy anything but O'Neills again. The MMA/BJJ companies try to tell you that their product is different than "surf" rashguards and conduct heat away from the body better. That is BOLLOCKS. I live in Texas and train in 100 degree plus heat with no AC in the summer, and if there was any difference, I would feel it and know it. O'Neill's are soft, snug, comfortable, and look really sharp without any skulls or blood trying to show how tough you are. I am 6'1", 175-180lbs, medium frame, and the long sleeve XL rashguards all fit me perfectly. I'm 6'3 and 280lbs so at first wasn't sure if the 3xl would fit because o'neill along with other well known brands for surfing tend to run small with the apparel. It turns out that it fits perfectly for what it is intended forsurfing. The comfortability is 5 stars. Other rashguards tend to give me neck rashes when using for long periods in the water. Due to the stitching of the neck on this rashguard and the way it was constructed no more neck rashes at all! Will be buying another one.
