Best adidas Elite II Running Glove Accessory Deals

I use these for 10-12 mile runs when it's below 40F. Even in winds of over 35 mph and wind chill of 15F, these gloves kept my hands warm. Here's a summary:

PROS

Good temperature range of comfort without getting hands sweaty

Fits well; not too tight, not too loose

Clip to keep the gloves together when not in use helps a lot when I want to secure them to the bungee on my running pack

Touch screen finger tip works well with my iPhone (on right index finger only)

Reflective strips are nice in the dark but I hope you have other reflective gear on besides just on your hands when running in poor lighting

CONS

Pockets are worthless; not sure if you want to run with anything on the backs of your hands anyway but I guess they're good enough for a key.

-RECOMMENDATION-

I believe these are great for running in 10F-40F weather. Unless you need gloves in 50F weather or below freezing, you won't need another pair of running gloves. I've tried other brands and I like these adidas elite II's the best.

I purchased these running gloves for my husband at Christmas as he trains for a marathon this Spring. He likes the gloves well enough, but we've already had to re-stitch one of them where the seems came apart after less than 60 days of use.

I love these gloves. Besides for running, I've worn them all winter while driving to/from work. The pocket is tiny. It doesn't fit my key, but it fits a couple tissues (great for running in cold weather). I can hook my key on the little clip but it dangles and annoys me. The touch finger works well I just wish there was a thumb one too. My son borrows my extra set for early spring soccer games and practices. Glad I have two pair.

Wear them everywhere. They are a great pair of gloves as they aren't too warm for just wearing around the town in the winter. No you won't find them on my hands when I'm scooping snow or using my snow blower, but great for everything else.

The Black Spyro capri exercise pants are attractive and well designed, although I think they are a bit overpriced for the quality (in the same order, I received a similar pair of exercise pants that cost half the price and are much more solidly constructed). The fabric is very thin. I am disappointed because I have other Pearl Izumi products that are of much higher quality. The white design up the side was a selling point for me, a nice change from the solid, all-black exercise pants I usually find. The product page is a bit confusing because two very different styles of pants are shown there: the Black Spyro and Shadow Gray, which you can see from the model photo are loose and long-ish, and the Black and Coffee versions, which are shorter, more close-fitting pants. My usual size is huge on me: I think they would stay up when I exercise but I am not at all sure! The legs of my capris are about twice as wide and loose on me as you see in the photo and they are very loose around the waist as well. I am returning these and buying a pair two sizes smaller. If you are looking for a pair of loose, comfortable exercise pants and have enough around the hips to keep them up, this might be a nice choice for you. You might want to hedge your bets and buy a size smaller than usual if you run slim through the hips and thighs.

I purchased this Nathan hydration pack Vapor Shape on 8/3/2013 for marathon training. I've since used it for three long runs of 2 hours, 3 hours, and 3 hrs 55 min. I will use it this weekend for a 90 min run as well. I must say that it's my first hydration pack so I cannot compare it to others but it does not bounce, it is very comfortable, barely noticeable once it's on my shoulders, and I like the color as well. I would like to tell everyone that there was some confusion when I bought this from Amazon, though, that I hope to clear up. Amazon.com said the white-colored, female vapor shape pack only held 1.5 Liters (as opposed to the grey-colored similar version for men) and I even called a local outdoors retailer who also said that the product was 1.5Liter in capacity. I took a risk and bought it anyways, and the hydration pack is indeed 2-liter capacity (holds 70 oz's) and the tag clearly stated a 2-liter capacity. On a side note, I noticed that I got a little dirt on the pack around the shoulders/armpits (either from sweat or who knows where) and it won't seem to wash off--luckily it's in a place you cannot see it, but still, that annoys me. I've been rinsing off the pack after each run in a solution of detergent (very small amount) and warm water, which I will attribute to getting rid of the smell of sweat. Unfortunately, after 3 rinses, the yellow letters (which appear to be a rubber-like material) "N" and "A" have rubbed completely off in whole...if I can figure out a way to stick them back on, I will. This goes for the yellow Nathan logo on the small zipper pocket in front (rubbed right off last week). Lastly, I would visit Nathan's website if you are worried about size. I bought the Large/XL version because the Nathan website said it fit a size 36 (bra size) and up which luckily worked for me. I don't think the Amazon site shows you a scale of bra-sizes and which pack (small/med v. large/xl) to buy. I have lost weight (yay) but now notice a little looseness in the shoulders, but it's not very noticeable (this just occurred last week). It could be a loosening of the shoulder tightening-straps, too, and if I ever wear a light jacket while running during winter and wearing this, I'll be glad for the extra room.

This is by far the best hydration system for running I've ever tried. I find bottles to be frustrating-they are either heavy to hold, slosh in a way that makes them more difficult, or don't hold sufficient volume. Other packs that I've tried moved around on my back quite a bit, no matter how tight the straps. Not to mention the difficulty of straps that are not designed for breasts.

This pack fits great. The bladder ends where the lower straps are, which helps to eliminate the pack flopping around. The cross-chest straps are elastic, which means that you can have the pack secured but still be able to breath. All of the straps are designed for women, which makes a huge difference. All of the pockets are easy to access, even the large pouch in the back can be reached without taking the pack off, which is useful when you need to stash your arm warmers! Since the pack secures in place so well, I've not had any issue with chaffing on runs up to 15 miles. I know people who use theirs for 100 mile ultras.

The bladder control system, while humorously named, is no joke. Depending on how much water you put in the bladder, you can still secure the bladder optimally so that it doesn't move around inside the pack.

The only downside to this pack is that the mouth piece tastes terrible at first. However, this can be minimized by flushing it through with water before the you use it for the first few uses. The taste does go away after several uses. Since I was able to rinse it away, and the taste has disappeared, I do not consider this problem to be significant enough to alter my recommendation.

Bottom line: Yes, this pack is pricey, but it's absolutely worth every penny. I'll never do an endurance run without it.

I have been using this bag for my 10-mile commute for about 4 weeks now. It does the job adequately enough, but I assumed that a garment bag would have a hook from which to hang a clothes hangar with the clothes on it. The product description does not note that there is no such hook, and that even if there were one, the bag is not wide enough to accommodate a standard wire hangar, forcing me to fold my shirts and suits to pack them in the bag. This adds additional time to my packing each night and causes my clothes to end up with more wrinkles when I get to work.

Also, there is no way to hang the bag from a hook while packing or unpacking it. Instead, you have to lay it out flat to get your clothes out. Space is at a premium in my office's shower room, and it is a logistical challenge get clothes out with only a narrow bench to place this on.

I understand the desire to save space and weight, but the description should make these limitations clear. Had I known about it, I would have purchased another bag.

I am a 100% bicycle commuter. Initially when I stated biking to work I would drive in on the weekend and drop off a week's worth of clothes, then do the walk of shame as I went upstairs into my office filled with professional individuals in shirts and ties in my bike gear, grab my clothes, then head down to the gym. I needed a solution.

This bag was the solution. The bag is a very sturdy (ie..fairly heavy) design that straddles the rear rack of your bicycle. It secures to the rack lip (near the seat post) and there are two steel hooks on the inside to hook onto the rack. I have a sun rider rack and it mounts with absolute no issue.

Point of Note: The picture of the bag improperly shows how clothes are placed in the bag. They lie across the entire length of the bag, not tucked into one side.

The positives:

I am 6'4" with 36 inch inseam pants. I have to fold them at the top in order to fit the bag, but they come out looking as if they are fresh off the ironing board.

Shirts fit easily.

There are two huge zipper pockets inside to hold underwear, socks, undershirts, etc... then there are two fold pockets behind those that you can hold important documents you don't want folded.

There are two large pockets on the outside of the bag that can hold anything from my size 14 shoes to an Ipad easily. It can hold an 11" laptop as well, but not my wife's 17".

Sturdy: The inner support appears to be a very thick cardboard that is very sturdy.

Seemingly waterproof I waited to write this review until I experienced the bag in rain. It was a total downpour this morning and I was nervous because if the bag leaked. I would be soaked. It performed perfectly. I could feel a very slight dampness on the inside of the outside pockets, but my clothes and a paperback book I had in out of the outside pockets were bone dry when I got to work.

Reflective strips on the outside of the bag are very useful and functional.

The negatives:

Pockets and Organization: There is amazing space, but little organization. If I were to design the bag, I would add a key hook, a small zippered pocket somewhere, and maybe compartmentalize one of the large outside pockets. I have had to alter my storage methods to prevent everything just being thrown in the bottom of the large pockets.

Weight: There is always a balance between being sturdy and being light. This bag is heavy. I would be nervous mounting this on a true road bike fully loaded, with my added 220lb weight as well. If you weigh 140lbs this may not be an issue. But I am already a hefty guy for my poor bike. I have had zero issues, so this criticism may be extremely unfair on my part.

Spacing: The clothing section needs to be a little deeper to accommodate several days of clothes. I can only really carry 1, maybe two days of clothes, then the bag stops folding correctly for me. I would love to be able to take three days worth of clothes with me and just ride bag less the other days. But a smaller person, with smaller clothes may not have my issue.

Overall I am extremely happy with the bag. The name is silly and I get teased by co-workers. But when they see it on the bike, they immediately say that is the coolest idea they have ever seen.

If you have to dress professionally and still want to bike to work this is the bag for you

I've used my Bushwhacker Garment Bag Pannier for over 10 years almost daily, and like it well enough that I am thinking of buying a new one just like it.

Pros:

1. Holds my white karate uniform unwrinkled plus various sometimes heavy items in the interior and exterior pockets.

2. Attaches securely and quickly to the bike.

3. Durable.

Cons:

1. Not entirely waterproof. So on rainy days, I also put some plastic around my uniform. Problem solved.

2. Zippers go bad after some years, which is why I am finally thinking of getting a new one.

3. Could use some reflective tape on sides. When it was new, I put some there, but it came off.

4. Minor annoyance: The hooks that attach bag to rack become entangled. Sometimes it is dark when I have to fiddle around to untangle them.

I used to commute to work with my work clothes folded inside my backpack. I always arrived to work with a sweaty back and slightly wrinkled clothes. Careful folding kept my clothes from being completely wrinkled, but they never got to work totally smooth.

With this bag, I don't have to fold my clothes at all. Well, I have to fold over the bottom few inches of my pants and fold the sleeves on my dress shirts over the body. But I don't have to double-up my pants or fold up the main part of my shirts. I arrive at work sweatand wrinkle-free.

The bag has a ton of space. The main compartment hold my pants, buton-down shirt, underwear, socks and belt with room to spare. I could probably fit two changes of clothes in there if I wanted. The outside pockets hold three lunch cartons and a pair of shoes with room to spare. I fit a gallon jug of milk in an outer pocket with some room left over.

The bag is easy to get on and off the bike. It takes me about 10 seconds to secure it to the bike. Off the bike, it includes a shoulder strap that makes carrying easy.

One negative I see about the bike is the build quality. The fabric is sturdy but not as thick or tough as the expensive Ortleib bags. They might tear if I ever wiped out on the bike. The shoulder strap also has a flimsy plastic connector that will probably break eventually. And they don't look very waterproof. That said, a pair of Ortleib bags would cost you $300 or more to match the space of this one pannier. Even if this bag tears after a year of use (doubtful), I'll go out and buy a new one.

The other negative is the organization. In addition to the clothing compartment, there are two mesh pockets inside and two large pockets outside. A small outer pocket for keys, cell phone, etc. would be nice.

Overall the bag is great value. I'd highly recommend to anyone who bikes to work and doesn't want to get their clothes wrinkled.

Update: I've had this bag for 2 years now, and I still use it 3-5 days a week. Some of the interior stitching has come loose, but it's still solid. The bungee cords haven't lost any of their tension, and the hooks haven't bent. It's still a very reliable, very durable bag.

I use this bag on Mondays and bring a few dress shirts, pants, undershirts, socks, boxers, and my lunch. Each day after I take a little home using a smaller bag. This bag holds a lot but I had to add a couple of s-hooks to keep is from sticking too far out. The one provided hook attaches well enough to a rack but when you have several shirts and pants and more it tends to bulge and sticks out quite far so the addition of another s-hook on each side allows me to pull it tighter against the rack. If I could recommend another suggestion it would be the addition of reflective material on each side. I added 3m prismatic tape to each side and think this really adds another level of visibility from the side.

Sugoi Men's Hydrolite Jacket Reviews

I have seen a lot of reviews, including one here, that say this jacket is form fitting and this is NOT TRUE. Maybe they are referring to the other Hydrolite that has what Sugoi calls a "smoke" collar. The one here is the slightly cheaper hydrolite and the fit is what Sugoi calls "Semi-fitted".

I'm 5'11" & 180 lbs and I usually wear a Large in Pearl Izumi, Sugoi, and Louis Garneau and I size up to XL for European brands like Castelli & Campy. I ordered a Large in this jacket and it feels baggy, does not look form fitting like the picture displayed here. Even with my Gore Countdown jacket underneath, it still had a bit of room. I'm returning it for a Medium and will update this review once I get it.

Just so you have an idea of how "Semi-Fitted" this jacket is the sizing chart on the Sugoi website says that their large is 41" in the chest and I measured the large I received at 22" when laid flat so it is really 44". If you plan on layering up quite a bit or prefer a loose fit, order true to size but if you want a form fitting jacket that won't blow around in the wind (like what the picture shows), you should probably order a size down.

I haven't used it on a ride or tried it in the rain since I'm returning it but I will definitely update once I do with the medium size. I gave it five stars based on my first impression with the quality of material and constructions.

Update: I just received the sized medium jacket that I exchanged the large for and it is a perfect fit. It can still fit my Gore Countdown jacket underneath it for colder days. Really glad I exchanged it. Definitely order a size down!

Doesn't look like much but packs up super small and does admirable job of keeping you warm. Used on only two rides so far but well worth it. First was an 0800 start for a 110KM ride through the Kootenays with some big descents. Starting temp about 7C no wind, wore it with regular bike jersey & arm warmers until temps got into mid teens. Packed down really easily.

Second ride was Banff Grand Fondo 0630 downhill ride to race start was around 3C with 45 mins of waiting around. Again same deal, regular bike jersery & arm warmers. Jacket came off once weather hit the mid teens.

Haven't tested it's waterproofing but breathability, wind breaking ability and compactness top notch. It is flimsy, very opague and the zipper can be finicky.

I'm 6' & 190 pounds with gangly limbs the Large fit perfectly.

This is an efficient jacket, despite its incredible lightness it keeps you warm. It functions well for running or cycling . I live in a wet climate and this jacket has kept me dry as well as any pure heavy rain jacket i have.

One piece of advice, keep it away from Velcro. It will grab the inside material and mess up the look a bit.

Fantastic material. virtually weightless and packs down remarkably well to fit into a jersey pocket. Nice collar material and high cut make zipping up a pleasure. Under arm vents were a pleasant surprise. Long tail covers all in the rear so no chilly splatter getting through your bibs!

Also bought one for my riding partner, of course I'm married to her so it was a must for her comfort!

As for sizing, I'm 5'10 and 180 and the Large fit me as a cycling top should. hope this helps keep those wheels spinning!

I recently used this in a 120 mile ride in the Colorado mountains. The jacket fits well (snug. as a bicycle jacket should).

I am 5'11" 160 lbs and bought a large. The jacket easily folds into a back pocket , kept me warm on a 12 mile descent going 35-40 mph at 55 degrees. Also it kept me dry during a down pour for over 15 miles. What else could you ask for in a rain jacket? I was very impressed. it was certainly worth the price. It may be too warm to wear in a 70 degree rain, but who wears a jacket in a nice warm rain?
