This strap, to stop your pants leg from getting caught in the chainring is very effective, has a nice feel and looks good.

Carrying the legendary Brooks name and a hefty priceyou might expect it to be a proud product of the English Midlands but no, Brooks is sourcing from the same place as Walmart China without adjusting their markup. Probably worth about $12 retail. Disappointing.

I was given a set of these for Christmas last year. They are brilliant in how they work. The spring is not overly tight and the leather is all Brooks. Yes, made in China, but the quality is there.

I dont use them everyday, still have the reflective ones for when I know it will be dark, but I do recommend them.

If you are in an area with a bike hire scheme, London for instance, these are fantastic to keep in the attache/bag to compliment and protect a suit etc when using a Boris Bike.

The Brooks trouser strap is made of some of the nicest leather, but it needs to be at least 10cm (4 inches) longer. It fits around my naked ankle with about 4 cm to spare, but place over blue jeans or khaki pants, and it doesn't overlap enough to hold on. Almost lost it in traffic the first day. By day three, it stayed at home, an expensive lesson learned. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband, and he loves it. It looks a lot better than a tight-rolled pant leg or a rubber band! I am so happy that he has this trouser strap, and that he is actually using it!!!
