It's canvas, it's black, it's a backpack. There's not really a whole lot to say about it, in my opinion. It works for what I need, I find it comfortable, and it's very roomy. I used it as my carry-on luggage for a recent weekend trip and it performed quite well.
The only thing I can think to note about this pack is that it is a giant lump of cloth. There is nothing to give it any sort of shape or frame, save for what you put in it. So if the pack isn't full, it can sit rather limply and may pose an issue for whatever you are attempting to haul. A laptop, for example, would be a nightmare in this thing unless you had lots of other stuff to keep it from moving around.

I got this backpack for light hiking, but is not very well made. The protective tips on the straps started falling off even before I use it. Also the seams were the straps are connected to the backpack are defective, at least on mine. Overall I can say that is not well made, don't expect it to last very long, but of course is cheap, so you get what you paid for.

This bag is awesome! The canvas is very rugged. The stitching appears to be very strong and durable. If I had to say one critical thing it's that the item description is more accurate to the color than the picture. It looks almost brown in the picture, but it is definitely black (which is what i wanted anyway). Each of the canvas ruck-type bags on amazon have some glaring issue or another but this one definitely was the better choice.

I brought this bag on a 6 week backpacking trip through Europe. It has pretty durable canvas. It is very basic and thats why I wanted it.
The back straps have to be double looped through the metal clips to stay.
The outside pockets are not very secure but offer quick access to stuff. I would have liked to keep my passport here but it could have been stolen too quick. Getting into the main compartment can take minutes, but very secure from thieves. I mainly kept my raincoat, cigs, shaver, and other low value stuff on the outside.
I was able to fit 7 tshirts, 7 pairs underwear, a spair pair of jeans, a dress shirt, pair shorts, raincoat, and sweater. You must roll everything and pack it tight. It isn't a huge bag, but plenty enough space if you can cut back on nonessentials.
There is no padding on the bag so be sure not to pack something that will be uncomfortable up against your back.
One of the straps on the outside pocket started to fray, but I am not concerned. It still works and I have used the bag pretty hard.
It is not too comfortable a bag if you were actually backpacking in the woods. I only walked a mile or two every day with the bag. It doesn't offer much support.
It easily fits as the carryon with stingy airlines like Ryan Air.

This bag looks like it can survive years of use. It is simple (I like the black), and has just enough extra pockets to be useful without being confusing. It is also very large, which is great.
