I really like the Icebreaker Seeker pants. The material is an all-natural merino wool and cotton twill that is sturdy yet lightweight. Plus, unlike most wool fabrics, it's machine washable. The cut is more tailored than jeans or khakis but slightly more casual than dress pants. They are very comfortable to wear and are especially suited for travel because the fabric is very compressible.
There are two things to keep in mind, though. First, I wouldn't use these pants for hiking or other strenuous outdoor activities due to the tailored fit. There isn't enough freedom of movement for active use, particularly in the upper legs. Second, anyone who has a longish inseam should take a look at the reviews on the Icebreaker website. Some buyers there have found the "one inseam fits all" design to be too short.
Bottom line: a good looking, well made, very comfortable pair of pants. Four stars.
