The shorts hit me at the upper thigh (kind of like on the model) and offers a nice fit not too loose, just a little bit of a stretch. The leg openings are flush against my thigh and very slimming. I'm in my early 30's and transitioning from shopping at Delia's and Hollister's and these are definitely a good fit! Not too short/revealing, but definitely short and fitted enough on me that it doesn't look like mom shorts at all. I've had a few pairs of Not Your Daughters Jeans and DKNY shorts those definitely fit like mom shorts. These are kind of an in-between juniors and womens size, which is perfect.

PrAna is quickly becoming my go-to brand for active-wear. True to the brand, these shorts are well-constructed and fit well. I bought them primarily for running and biking, so I love that they are loose and a bit long in the leg. The rise is also a good length they sit well below my natural waist without feeling like they're going slip down my hips.It has been my experience that PrAna bottoms run a bit on the large side as they seem to be designed and made for active bodies, so I went with the XS I wear an XS or Small depending on the garment. They don't have a closure or a ton of stretch, so some folks may want to size up if they are typically in between sizes.
My only complaint is with the tie it looks a bit funky under longer shirts (which are basically all my shirts since I have a small frame) but it's easy to tuck in so I still give these shorts full marks.
