Wore it this morning in a warm wet rain (60 degrees) and I remained dry.....it breaths so no moisture build-up! Thejacket material is the heavier "pro" weight gore-tex material, which is what I wanted. The vermillon color is rather day glo....no hunters will shoot at me. The fit is great for me, often the hip area is too snug. Keep in mind that the hood is sized to fit a helmut underneith.

I'm an avid outdoors person and I was looking for a strong, light jacket for backcountry hiking, skiing and climbing. I think this jacket is tough and there is certainly room for a down jacket or other layers underneath, but it is too bulky around the middle for me. The photo makes it seem like it's slightly fitted but I didn't find it that way at all. Also, the orange colour is VERY orange, more like a traffic pylon. I am going to return it and try to get a slimmer fitting jacket.
