I have searched high and low for a flattering pair of yoga/gym pant. They are form fitting but not so much that they look like leggings. The tie gives it a more yoga pant look. Maybe I am picky, but I do not wish to show my figure as it appears in my birthday suit. I love them so much ( I initially purchased the espresso color) that I am going to now purchase the black. They are a durable pant, and wash well. Do not use dryer sheets. I believe it may break down the fabric quicker. They are a little longer, but at 5'4" nothing fits unless you get petite, and many companies do not have petite.

First of all, this all-synthetic ("Chakara Performance Fabric"), stretch fabric attracts cat hair like CRAZY! I mean if you walk through a room where a cat has been, there will be hairs literally woven into the fabric so thoroughly, a quick tape roll will NOT remove them! They must be threaded out of the pants by fingers or tweezers! I do not need clothing that makes me look like more of a crazy cat lady than I already am (or advertises to the world that I have a cat and/or an infrequent vacuuming schedule, LOL!).Secondly, like the other voice of dissention here, the Mara pant is not universally flattering. Though the material is thick and soft (what the 2 stars are for), it WILL show every lump and bum from the navel down to the knee cap. The "V" waist doesn't taper the cut around the most bulgy part of your stomach (unlike, say, Stonewear Designs Women's Stonewear Regular Pant). Also, these Prana's are VERY long, so if under 5'9", you will have to hem, cuff or drag.
Thirdly and finally, an XL is a size 14/16, if it matters to you.
Honest reviews on prAna Women's Mara Pant
The way they're cut, they blouse up around my backside and it's really unflattering. It's my size and everything, but the curves are in all the wrong places. I mention this because the other reviews make it seem as though they're universally flattering. Not true. Also, for some reason this fabric doesn't bother me in a snugger fit, but having it continuously brush up against my skin is irritating.
