I have a relatively large noggin, I where a 7 5/8 fitted hat. This hat fits a little bigger than I anticipated but by no means is it too big. There is only a very small amount of material left at the top and I do have a short haircut by the way. In a way it works out well such that I can wear the hat down over my ears without completely matting down my hair. The band of the hat is lined with a warm fleece that locks in the heat around the ears and back of the neck. The material is thick enough all around such that wind and snow are held at bay. The knotted tassel on top gives just a little style so your hatted head doesn't blend in with all the rest. As lame as it sounds, I think the Ibex logo also looks really cool. It is simple but distinct and many people have asked me where the hat was from and what brand it was. I use this hat for the daily outdoor walking around when it is cold but also when I am in, on or around the mountains skiing and not wearing my helmet (i.e. in the lodge, eating lunch, having an apres ski beer).
