This is one my key components in my Sitka system. If you are already a fan of Sitka, you don't need to me to tell you that their gear is the best gear on the planet. It's quality is unsurpassed and it really is made for hunters. They think of everything!
Now this shirt is my second layer when it starts to get a little cooler. I have the Sitka Core Zip-T under this shirt and it has kept me comfortable in weather to about 60 degrees. After that I need a little something extra. Regardless, it is a great base layer for any system.

I have tried layering with several other tops but end up feeling very bulky and could not move. This material and cut allows me to move freely and stay warm . As a Gore product tester, I can say this is best used with a next to skin layer which will help wick away perspiration and keep you warm. This is the perfect piece when the weather turns chilly.

As a product tester for Gore and other companies I know gear, and good gear is important to me. This top met my expectations and has been worn in duck blinds and flooded timber up and down the east coast. It is warm and well made. The design is just right for a mid-layering piece that may do double-duty as outerwear on mild, early season days. The single pocket is a well thought-out bonus for what is essentially a layering piece.
