I use these for my boxing and the have great mobility, they are light and provide so much more traction in the ring than I thought I would get. Only downside is I ordered them a 1/2 size too small but overall they are still great just a little snug.

I bought a pair of the old black and white ASICS Matflex shoes when I first started boxing in 2009 and those lasted me until now in 2013 (may I add that only the bottom tread wore out not any other part of the shoe). I just got these in the mail and have worked out with them in the gym 3 times now and they are fantastic. I can feel more power in my punches because of the grip they give on the floor. They fit like socks and they come with black, red, and blue laces for your pleasure. Also in the middle of the shoe where the arch in your foot is they are made of mesh for maximum air flow (no trenchfoot with these). ASICS are the finest brand of footwear in my opinion. I was issued some ASICS running shoes in the army that lasted nearly the entirety of my 4 year airborne infantry career. I ran with some ASICS in the last Chicago Marathon and my feet didnt hurt at the end. Their boxing/wrestling shoes are great too, just do yourself a favor and buy these. That is all.

I usually use running shoes to train in boxing, but i got fed up with getting blisters and not being able to move(footwork) well in the ring. just make sure you get at least 1/2 up your regular tennis shoes. I wear 9 regularly but with this 9.5 is perfect!

I bought these to wear while boxing on athletic mats. They have really improved my movement over wearing regular tennis shoes, or going barefoot. The soles are very soft and flexible, the shoes are comfortable and light, and they have allowed me to move quickly and easily. Oh, and they look pretty good too! I did order a 12.5, when I usually wear a 12, and they fit perfectly. Most websites recommend ordering these shoes 0.5 size larger than usual.
