I liked my first pair so much I now own 6 pair; khaki, charcoal and green. Last years model was slightly different and I did find one vendor that had them available but decided to go with these. Older model had two cargo pockets in front and one back pocket. New model has one cargo and two back pockets. Old model had hard to adjust cinch belt and no belt loops. New model has improved cinch AND belt loops. New ones are slightly longer than old but with either length is around or over knee as in picture. I wear these almost exclusively when I am not at work and sometimes at work too. Also wear bike riding with bike shorts underneath; have surprised many a roadie when they pass me on my hybrid and I hop on thier wheel. They never suspect that I might be as fast in my stealth coverup. I had dedicated one pair for riding and they have shown no sign of wear in dozens of rides... this is bomber material. I am 6 foot 3 and around 200 and with extra large they fit well but have to cinch up quite a bit. I tried larges on in a store once and they were too tight. Great Shorts!Now own three pairs. Only shorts I wear. Really only shorts I need. Looks nice, feel comfortable, and good for just about any environment! I alternate the three shorts, every day, just about every where I go...
I wish the metal piece on the waist adjustment strap either had rounder edges. I have never had any trouble with this strap while I am wearing them, but when I try to tighten the waist strap, the little metal piece is not the easiest to grab and slide...
