Well maybe I shouldn't be so severe on this, but I bought this belt at a local gun store. It didn't last more than a few months, I was very surprised because mostly you read good reviews. When I say that it didn't last more than a few months, I mean it didn't look presentable while tucking in your shirt, cracks & stitching falling apart. I don't know, maybe I got a knock off, I suppose it's always a possibility.I went back to my trusty Carhartt and wont be looking at anymore 511 products, at least belts that's for sure!

After 5 times of wearing this belt I have noticed that that leather isn't what i thought i was getting. I was expecting top quality instead it is made in china.Best Deals for 5.11 #59501 1.5-Inch Leather Casual Belt
This belt is primarily designed for indivuals that will be securing multiple and possibly heavy, items to your belt. Particularly those that may carry a sidearm. I highly recommend. It is extremely durable and looks nice with a suit or dress slacks. Not the usual "tactical" look associated with many other 5.11 products. I've have this belt in black and brown and both are very nice.Honest reviews on 5.11 #59501 1.5-Inch Leather Casual Belt
I purchased this belt as a somewhat formal type belt for use with my daily carry firearm. It took forever to arrive, but when it did I was impressed with it's stiffness, it's look, and price. It's so stiff, however, that it's difficult to buckle. Always.Worse however, is how easily it scuffs. Scuffs is putting it mildly. I bought the brown, so I have no idea if black does the same, but the veneer, or whatever, comes right off the first time you put a holster on. I've tried soft leather holsters all the way up to metal clip holsters, and every one scuffs it easily. It's so scuffed it's no longer useful for dress attire. Every where I wear this, the first thing people say is "What happened to your belt?" Awesome when you're trying to conceal a holster. It even scuffs up terribly near the hole that you buckle it in. I have no confidence that this belt will last very long.
But yeah, it's wicked stiff and your holster won't flop over, so that's good.
There are far better belts out there for this purpose, but unfortunately, they are all more expensive, but you do, in fact, get what you pay for.

IMHO, these belts work just fine! Just to say one thing: This is my second leather belt from 5.11!My first one is now 3 years old. And, yes, it does gets soome scuffs where the holster goes in/out (I use a Fobus paddle for a USPc or a Blackhawk CQC paddle for a G17), as well as where my phone holster goes (on the opposite side). But, if you treat it with some leather conditioning products the scuffs will go away and you have yourself a nice, stable, sturdy and good looking belt.
