Ibex is the warmest and best made wool products I've found and I've tried many. Going out in the cold winter days this is what I grab first, espically skiing and during the storms. Mountain biking this is too heavy unless tempratures are below 30F. As the breathability is excellent it can be worn when warmer but that's usually when I wear thinner, lighter weight base layer. Owned this for 5 years and shows no signs of wear but living in Tucson it doesn't get alot of use unless hitting the slopes or a cold spell.
Also own Icebreaker, I/O Bio and Patagonia wool but Ibex is warmer while Icebreaker is softer.

Merino wool is soft, comfortable, doesn't stink up and keeps you warm when wet. I use this as my base layer for all my outdoor activities with combination of other merino wool garments. No surprises when the temperature suddenly drops on the trails and I am all sweaty.

Very well made. Merino wool is very nicely woven. What I really like about this company is that their products seem to hold up really well. Unlike smartwool they age well and best of all they are NOT made in China. They are made in Canada. All in all a good value.
