I'm pleased with this purchase. I've used the liquid detergent in the past and it works well too but with the powdered it seems to take far less to do the same job.I was concerned when I first used this because there were no suds in the washing machine. In fact the water looked clear. I went ahead and ran the load anyway and there was no odor in the clothes. I use this to get rid of cat urine odor. One of our indoor cats seems to think the laundry basket can be used as a litter box.
I have a few tricks i use to make sure the soap works. I first set the water level to low. I then set the water temp to hot. I let the tub fill up to where it stops. I then add the soap and let the machine run awhile to get the soap mixed really well in the water. My machine automatically controls temperature. I then stop the machine and set the water level to the height I need it and I start adding clothes.
I think that making sure the soap gets mixed well before adding clothes is the best way of getting the smell out of them. If this soap can get rid of cat urine odor then I am positive it will get rid of human odor.

I am not a hunter. I can't tell you if this stuff will make the difference when you go to bag your seventy-point boar moose, or whatever it is that you folks do. But it is great stuff. This is the only laundry product that has worked for the toughest of all odor removal: dried on old cat pee. If whatever Meowser pissed on last month that you didn't finally track down until today can stand hot water and will fit in the washer, toss it in for a double cycle with this powder, and it will come out smelling of -nothing. Nothing at all. Not even to a cat's nose. If you have a cat who uses urine for communication, like we have, you will understand how rare and wonderful this is. I can't imagine it wouldn't be helpful to you if, in fact, your problem is that deer are smelling you and running off before you get a chance to shoot them.It works on all kinds of other smells, too, including manly B.O. on polyester fleece, socks left to molder damply in last winter's boots, and whatever else you throw at it. Or in with it.
It is not especially good at stain removal. I'm not sure it really counts as soap, honestly. Your clothes probably have soap residue from the last time you washed them anyway, so in most cases this stuff is all you need, but if you've been playing in the mud, you might want to run things through a regular load first before you use this.
