I've actually owned a one these for about 6 years + and fell in love with it. I'd like to add that I hated wearing beanies, but after I got this mask and folded it, I use it as a beanie all the time. I used it in the fire service and it never let me down. I had been looking for another one, just in case I lost my first beanie. Since I had the dark blue, I went ahead in getting the black one. Both are excellent choices in color and the beanie/mask keeps you super warm even though it is thinner that most beanies. Over time, the fabric gets even thinner and softer, which makes the mask even better. Highly recommend it! I used to use it under my fire helmet as well. If you're thinking about getting it, GET IT!

This is one of my favorite pieces of cold weather gear. The warmth to weight ratio is great. I like it a lot better than wearing a hood because it moves with my head. It is easy to carry in a pocket when it is not needed. I use it running and bicycling and it works great by its self down to a few degrees below zero Fahrenheit. If the temperature drops to around 20 below or the wind really picks up, a stocking cap on top or pulling up a sweat shirt hood over it keeps my head nice and warm. For extended everyday use, it is nice to own more than one. Since my nose tends to run a lot when the weather is cold, the Wigwam mask soaks up a lot of stuff that will in turn start to leave an odor directly under my nose. Having a couple of the masks allow me to be able to pull out a fresh one if the well used one has not made it through the wash cycle. This simple product will allow you to maintain a comfortable body temperature in cold weather with a fairly light jacket. I have accumulated quite a pile of cold weather head gear since moving to South Dakota over 30 years ago. The Wigwam Thermax caps and Wigwam Thermax masks by far get the most use. I can't think of another winter garment that will provide as much warmth in such a small package for a low price. I would give it a few more stars if they were available in the rating system.

picked this cap about five years back and it was my favorite winter cap, as it is the most versatile and confortable one I had ever worn, it keeps you warm when it should and it does not get too warm at other times, also dries fast when it gets wet. couple of years back my nephew came to visit from Florida and borrowed it while he was here in the north east. I guess he loved it too as I never saw it again tryed to get another at the store but they no longer carry it there, just found it here on line and I'm buying two. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!
