As an adult male 57 years old, it irritates the hell out of me not to be able to buy shorts that don't hang 2, 3, or more inches below my knee. Not wanting to go back to my youth and have "hot pants" or "short shorts", but I do like to find shorts that are shorts, not "pedal pushers". These shorts fit the bill there, and hit me right above the knee even though I am only maybe 5'6" tall.

I just went for my first run in these shorts and love them. They are really lightweight and fast drying, but also incredibly breathable. I was worried about the built in crepe brief because I normally wear my own compression shorts while running. However, I decided to give it a try without compression shorts and trust that NB knows what they are doing...and of course they do!

I haven't had them for long, so I can't speak to durability, but they seem well made thus far.

I ordered these shorts on sale for about $12, and they're very reasonable quality. Liner is comfortable and shorts are light. Only thing missing that I would like is a zippered pocket, but I can't argue it for $12!

Running shorts could not be better made than this. Light, fit well, comfortable..what else can you ask for? I bought 3 pairs of New Balance shorts (pay about 1/3 of the price at Amazon vs. NB store in the mall) and could not be happier witht them. High tech material, airy and light, no chaff and looks good. Comes with 2 generous side pockets and a small secured key pocket. I am thinking about buying a few more pairs for daily wear instead of shorts. There is a unnoticed difference between a 5-inch and 7-inch shorts, so it doesn't matter which one, the all look the same.
