This sneaker's predecessor, the 160, was a Consumer Reports Best Buy. This sneaker's appearance is very slightly modified from the original but has the same comfort and stability qualities. The insoles are just so-so but by replacing them with higher quality insoles, with better cushioning, makes this a five star sneaker. The price (even with the replacement insoles) is very reasonable and hard to beat.

This the best work out shoe I've ever bought. The price was reasonable. Best Asics shoe ever. The heel and ensole padding are excellent. No foot pain after workouts.

Bought these on July 8, 2013, the double-wide version. SUPER comfy and functional, and they feel great on my flat arches.
Unfortunately, 2 months later, they're already falling apart. The pads on the sole around the heel are already peeling off, and the front sole is peeling away from the toe.
Pretty unhappy with this, overall.

I have worn ASICS shoes for years at this is by far the worst quality I have ever seen. Very poor qaulity. Very cheap feel to the shoe. On the 4th time they were worn one of the lace loops ripped out. I'm not going to buy anymore of their products until they get their act together. Very very disappointed.
