Why get fleece for one, not to mention Patagonia or other expensive brands, when this merino wool zip is available? I am an outdoor person and have worn fleece 1/4 zips forever, but after trying this brand's merino wool shirts I'll never go back. They are warmer, softer, and not prone to collecting body odor that poly-pro base layers ALWAYS do eventually. They wash and dry well and look good on their own out to dinner with a scarf. Two thumb's up, highly recommend! But, more colors and patterns please!

I bought one for myself, then this was a gift for a cold friend. she love sit, easy to wear, cuddly with almost no weight. Easy wash and wear, I prefer to hang to dry , but it went through the dryer last night and the world did not end. tempting to wear everyday inth e PNW , rainy 40 degrees.

I found this baselayer to fit well and it kept me warm. It is soft, not itchy and no scratchy labels. It's nice to have the zipper version as it helped to keep my neck warm as well.
