I've owned a lot of different cycling jerseys and stumbled into the elite line by accident. They may not make you look like your ready for the Tour as they're a pretty simple, basic design. But the quality, supple material and fit are as comfortable as any I've ever worn. So much so, that i own one of the black and white versions and went back and bought a second in the white and orange design. Hence, my other jerseys have been spending a lot of time in the drawer this summer.

Two great features:

1. full length zip, but you can put it off and on like a regular pullover jersey...you hardly notice the zip until you need it.

2. there is an exterior zipper pocket positioned on the outside of the rear middle pocket which I use every time I ride. Keys, money, credit card, etc. It's perfect and easy to open by simply reaching around, unzipping and taking out whatever you've placed.

That may not seem like a big deal, but how many times have co riders reached into a pack pocket for an energy bar, or fruit, and as they pull it out, out comes a wad of cash.

This jersey is one I could own 5 of and I'd still probably wear them out, because it's all i've worn this entire, hot summer.

I'm 5' 11" and 150 lbs. I purchased the medium and it fits me perfectly in the chest, arms, and stomach area.

PROS:

Very lightweight (feels like you're wearing almost nothing)

Full zipper

Super soft!

Sides are vented for extra cooling

Back pockets aren't baggy but still hold a lot of stuff

Exterior zipper pocket on back as well

CONS:

Front is short (it's fine when riding, but comes up short when standing up)

Zipper on back exterior pocket pokes me when resting my back on something (ie. car seat, benches)

Overall it's an amazing jersey! It feels very similar to higher end jerseys. I'll definitely be buying more!

I live in Malaysia where we experience tropical weather with high heat 34 degree C in the day and high humidity up to 90% humidity. Sweat sticks to your body in this climate. I needed a new jersey and was impressed by my older Pearl Izumi.

This jersey really works. Great material which is soft and light. Dries up quickly and feels lighter in this humidity than equivalent Italian jerseys from Santini and Nalini.

I also love the zipper pocket which holds my ID card and some notes very easily and hidden away.

Excellent quality and fit. Overall a great jersey.

Pearl Izumi continues to make very comfortable and highly durable cycling clothing. I have worn many brands of cycling attire over the years but I always come back to Pearl Izumi. Their products are very well made and longlasting. This Elite Jersey is perfect for the summer lightweight, breathes, and is tight enough to effectively wick away moisture. My only minor issue is the full length zipper. I prefer the 3/4 length zipper but it seems the craze these days is full zipper. Great jersey!
