I bought these shorts because I had a pair about 10 years ago that I have worn for 10 years. The ones from 10 years ago were made of thick nylon that felt good to wear. They felt like they would last forever. Even the mesh pockets were made of a sturdy mesh. In fact, they have lasted forever. I still wear them. I just hoped to get a couple more pair with a little longer inseam. Unfortunately, I the materials and the fit have changed. They aren't comfortable and don't look that great either. I wouldn't recommend these short.

Just ordered these shorts as a pair of swim trunks. The built in belt is nice, the pockets are deep, and the velcro on the back pockets really secure your wallet, or whatever else is there. The material is very lightweight, but seems pretty sturdy, and the stitching is strong. These are not heavy-duty outdoor rugged shorts for climbing mountains, but if you're just looking for something for hot weather, or for swimming they are perfect. Couldn't be happier.
