The shoes are nice looking and of good quality unfortunately they run very small. I read other reviews saying the same thing but decided to take a chance since the price was good. I got them in a 42.5 the equivalent of a 10.25. My normal shoe size is a 9.5/10 so I thought they would be ok. The fit was marginal when I tried them on but during spin class they were extremely uncomfortable due to feeling too small. Sadly it's too late to return them.Best Deals for Giro 2013 Women's Sica Mountain Bike Shoes
This was my first pair of cycling shoes. I'd previously been riding on my road bike with regular running shoes and recently felt I was ready to start clipping in. I've ridden about 120 miles in these shoes so far.As a beginner I could have easily purchased a more basic pair of shoes, but I got a great deal on this higher-end shoe for a price comparable to a more mid-level shoe. The silver/charcoal looks great. The black accents balance the shoe so it isn't too shiny that it would blind people on a sunny day. It's not super white like a lot of road and mountain bike shoes. It's more walkable (although more awkward than a regular flexible shoe) than a road shoe, a feature I already knew I wanted. Cosmetically, they've already gotten a little scuffed up from my slips from getting used to clipless shoes, but functionally they're very solid. Not sure how well they will hold up in mountain biking versus road biking.
What I really loved about the Sicas is that they are so comfortable from the moment I put them on. Normally I'm a size 8 in athletic shoes and I bought a size 40. I've read reviews that these fit small and to order 1-2, maybe even 2.5 sizes up. However, I was able to try them on in person before buying so that really helped. If you can find a great deal on these shoes, I'd recommend giving these a try otherwise they can be pretty pricey.
