I have become a big 2XU fan of late between their tri-shirts, running tights and shorts, compression run socks, and now these recovery socks. I had been experiencing soreness in my lower legs after the weekend long runs, and decided to try these to see if they could help reduce recovery time. These socks are slightly thicker and seem to have a thicker weave as well compared to their compression run socks. I wear them for anywhere between 3-5 hours after the long runs, and they really do help recover my legs much quicker. Earlier, I pretty much always had to take the day after the long run as a rest day. Not any more, now I can go for my easy runs the next day really adds flexibility to my running schedule through the week!

Small 7.5 10.5 (calf thickness up to 14.5")

Medium 7.5 11 (calf thickness greater than 14.5")

Large 11.5 14 (calf thickness 15 17")

X Large 11.5 14 (calf thickness larger than 17")

If the size is even slightly big the socks can bunch up behind the knees, so it's important to get the right size.

Despite the tight fit and large size of these socks, they are relatively easy to get on and off. The elastic has been holding up pretty well so far. I have several pairs of 2XU compression run socks, and I initially made the mistake of putting those in the washing machine. The socks were fine, but the elastic on the top seemed to have become a little distorted. After that, I always hand wash these socks and hang dry. This has really helped keep all my 2XU socks in great shape after months of use. A very highly recommended pair of socks.

I am 5'11.5", 255 pounds with 12-12.5 sized feet.

I have big calves from the non work activities I do in life. the XL sized socks fit comfortably over them.

I could almost pull them over my knees if I tried to stretch them to their limits.

From the high ankle to the top of the calf, I enjoyed the level of compression these socks provided.

From the low ankle to foot, I wish there was more compression, especially around the ankle.

These wash in the washer just fine. I seriously wish I could wear them 24/7 without having to worry about them getting dirty!

Overall, that wish for more ankle compression is why I give this a 4/5. Taking that out of the picture, I'd give this a 5/5 for most people!

On the 2xu website it says these socks come specifically for the left and right feet. I ordered a pair and received two leftfoot socks, each marked with a bold "L" on the sole.

I requested a replacement pair from Amazon, which shipped out regular delivery, despite the fact that I ordered the original pair with Prime shipping.

When I got the replacement pair, I excitedly opened the box to try on my new compression socks... only to find two more left feet.

I'm pretty sure that except for barnyard animals with a distinct inability to dance, no one out there has four left feet.

I want my money back. I'm the meantime, you guys might want to talk to your supplier and figure out why this keeps happening.
