I"m quite disappointed in this bag, but not as much as I'm disappointed in myself for buying it. I'll just cut to the chase. I've been a cop for twelve years. Have been on the road for nine years and a K9 handler for the last seven years. I'm hard on my gear and I expect it to perform. I knew going into this deal this bag wasn't going to be a quality one as, in my opinion, most of the gear from 5.11 has really gone down hill in the last few years. Sadly I was right. Such a disappointment. Hell, I would've been disappointed if the price was $50 let alone damn near $100 with shipping. So here is my take:
The bag is made in Vietnam.
The nylon is thin and has no substance. 5.11's website says is 600D but I'd be surprised if it was 500D. (If they made this bag out of 1000D Cordura, it would be the sh*t.)
The strap designed to hold open the lid of the bag is a single piece of 1/2" nylon that has to stay on TOP of your head rest, not around the back of the headrest posts (it doesn't stay on top for long, causing the the bag to collapse).
The panels that open up out of the lid are really tall, too tall to fully extend in the passenger seat of a 2012 Tahoe, so they end up sagging even with the top strap cinched over the top of the headrest. I'll try extending the headrest up to help with this but I don't have much room without interfering with my gun rack.
The bag is covered in MOLLE webbing, but doesn't really have the structure to hold up any loaded pouches
The front panel opens down onto the seat and has a MOLLE rack on the inside. You can't attach anything thicker than a single AR mag pouch or you'll have trouble closing the front back up.
Neither the carry handle, nor the straps that buckle shut to secure the bag, go fully underneath the bottom of the bag to support any kind of weight, they are both just sewn to the bag at the top.
The front pockets are cheap feeling and fairly worthless for holding anything as they are just big slot pockets broken up by stitching to form separate "pockets." The sizes are completely random and there are only three pen slots.
The mesh pockets feel very thin and cheap, hopefully they won't tear right off the bat.
I think the only saving grace for me on this is that my car is a take home car assigned only to me due to the K9. If I had to move in and out of a car every week this bag would already be on it's way back to Amazon. My ten year-old "Premier" brand patrol bag is still better than this after ten long years of use. If it didn't look so tattered I still be using it. If you are a 5.11 fan boi then go ahead and knock yourself out with this bag. If, like me, you've been increasingly disappointed in the quality of 5.11 gear over the last few years, then keep looking, you'll find a better bag.

My husband loves this bag!! He has been a police officer for 15 years and by far this is his favorite bag. Two things he particulars loves are the velcro straps so he can move his stuff around and the bag can be buckled in with the seat belt. His stuff doesn't get thrown around the car. He told me last week he slammed on the brakes going 65 mph and the bag didn't move an inch.
