My son has been playing organized football since age 8, and is now a 10th grade starter on the high school varsity team. He has played most every position except QB and DB, playing 9 positions in games in 8th grade JV. He also plays receiver in summer 7 on 7's. This year as a varsity starter he is primarily playing DT, TE, and DE--and PK/P. We have tried the other glove brands, and have settled on Cutters as being the best. Most other brands have good grip out of the package, and work fine when new, but none are "tackier" than the Cutters, and the Cutters grip holds up much better than that on any of the other brands. With his playing TE and DL this year, the padding on the back of these is helpful, too, for protection, but is a lighter padding that does not affect finger flexibility for his pass receiving.
Got him two pairs, one for practice and one for games. Practice gloves have seen constant daily use since spring practice started, and are still in good shape. Counting Jamborees, Friday Varsity and Monday B Varsity games, the game gloves have been heavily used in 9 games now, and the grip is still like new.
Tip: I wash them BY THEMSELVES in cold water on gentle cycle with just a very little bit (2 or 3 drops) of liquid dishwashing detergent. I then dry them BY THEMSELVES on gentle cycle with LOW HEAT in the dryer. I don't want anything else rubbing on that valuable palm tack.
Not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and these are well worth the price. Simply the best.

My teenager is a big guy and needed gloves that were not all sticky on inside. He plays lineman and loves these gloves for practice and as other reviewers have written, you can really put them in washing machine and they come out looking as good as new.

This is the first time we have purchased football gloves. My son is 9 1/2 and 70 lbs. We ordered the Youth Large. He couldn't even get his hand half way in the glove. The gloves themselves look to be really good quality and I will be getting at least 2 sizes larger if they are available as an exchange.
