I bought these for my wife--at her request (I don't even TRY to order her personal stuff stuff without her approval; I'm not that brave or dumb).

But--She loves them. Says the length is just perfect (she's 5'2"), and the size 6, tho, is a little generous, so if you want a "closer fit" try a size smaller. They are cool to the touch so that's also a plus when wearing on a walk or a golf round. I think the big XXXs at the waist look ridiculous, but then, I don't have to wear them. Also, I did find they seem to be in demand and price is not discounted (for white) but I did later find much less expensive on other sites (with free shipping and return!) , so shop carefully. These are a great fit. I can always depend on Adidas fitting properly. These are very cute. They are light and comfortable.

As a relatively young female golfer, the apparel selection is much improved from I started playing in the mid 90s. These shorts are cute, they're not the super long old lady shorts, but they're long enough to wear when I play with my Grandma. I ordered two sizes and kept the larger size (normally 4, kept size 6) because I like them roomy to play/sit/swing/sweat in all day long.
