These are men's pants, but I bought them for myself. I found them to be a much more comfortable cut than women's pants for hiking. I bought the medium and I wear a 6/8 in women's pants. They are loose, but that's the way I like them. High quality and really big pockets which are great for hiking.

As I write this review, I am wearing my Aruba 3's from a decade ago. I believe the Aruba 4 is a better design with one reservation...the fabric. The Aruba 4 material is a crisper, less "brushed" feeling and possible less breathable material. But mtruct Columbia to do the rightnthing so I am not worried. The Aruba iV build and attention to detail seems even better than the older model of Aruba. A NOTE ABOUT SIZING: The ARUBA IV is sized normal for Columbia products. Exactly size large which is a good improvement since so many Columbia users have come to rely on their reliable sizing structure! (My OLDER Aruba's were always much too large and baggy and were really size X-large, although marked Large). I wore my old Arubas anyway... on a dozen extended hikes, 6 trips to, and as many months in, Baja, as well as around the house and town for nearly a decade now. These pants were, and even with the new fabric should be... the best hot weather pants ever made.Best Deals for Columbia Sportswear Men's Aruba IV Pant with 32-Inch Inseam
Keeps you cool and keeps you warm at the same time. I bought these and wore them for a 4 day canoe trip to the BWCA and they were perfect. They fit exactly as described and are extremely comfortable. They did not snag on branches like I expected them to, which was nice. The only thing I would change is the shorts length....a little too short for my taste, but that could just be me. If you wear boxers, do yourself a favor and at least buy yourself some boxer-briefs to wear with these; the mesh liner causes boxers to bunch up a lot.Honest reviews on Columbia Sportswear Men's Aruba IV Pant with 32-Inch Inseam
I love these pants. I wear them all the time. It's been 90+ degrees lately where I'm from and when worn as pants, they feel almost as cool as when worn as shorts. I can wear them hiking, running or running errands with a polo shirt. Very lightweight material (a positive) that almost makes you feel exposed and they are way less constricting than denim jeans. These are great utility pants. However, I have a pair of Aruba III's that these must have replaced that are even better that didn't have as cheap of a zipper of these that's the only reason I have 4 stars, well and the fact they cost more than Aruba III's did.
