these pants are pretty near perfect for what i need. super comfortable, dry fast (nylon), and are dressy enough to wear with a longer tunic type top to work, they don't really look like workout pants. to me they look like dress capris. after several washings they are not pilling at all. they do stretch out a little bit, but no icky sagging, just aren't quite so snug. they are spandex, so underwear lines and moles or other skin "imperfections" will probably be visible. i don't wear underwear with them , and just wear a longer tunic type top for modesty, and they work just peachy. so comfortable! the mushroom is more brown than grey, especially in the sunshine. the zipper pocket in front is sturdy and handy. the bit of embelishment design on the leg is cute too!
they are a bit more expensive than i think they should be, so that's why no 5 star rating.
i had to choose between the 4 and the 6 in size, and the 6 fit. (35-28-36) a little tight at first if truth be told, but again, they stretch out and there are never bulges thanks to the awesome roll waist. they are a bit too tight in the backside and crotch seem at first, but, i have a curvy backside. they are sewn very well. no puckers in odd places. i don't put them in the dryer (which i'm told you are not supposed to do with nylon) they hang dry really fast, so...no need! i love these pants and bought multiple pair in each color. yeah for style and comfort with Outdoor Research Astal Capris!!
oh, ps, in case you were looking into the the astral (long) pants as well, they fit nothing like these capris. no roll top, and the 6 was too small for me.
