I would never have imagined that a shirt this thin and light (taking up virtually no space in my bag) could be this warm. The Outdoor Research Essence Crew has got to be one of the best thermals out there. I own several and it is definitely my #1. To make it even better, it fits perfectly and flatteringly, is extremely comfortable and washes well. It is certainly not the cheapest tech shirt out there, but it is well worth the price.
