I'm from Southern California so shorts are my life. Board shorts, cargo shorts, Dickies, etc. I really didn't think I could find a "technical" pair of shorts that were durable, fashionable, and comfortable. Over the last year I started wearing ExOfficio clothing and basically fell in love, although some of their pants still left a bit to be desired in regards to style and fashion. Sorry, but if I'm spending $80 for a pair of pants I'd like to have them not look dorky.
The Roughian Shorts (different than Roughian Cargo Shorts) fit true to size or perhaps a bit bigger, but comfortably so. The pockets are right-sized: not too big, not too small. There's a bit of stretch to them as well which lets you do pretty much anything you want to in gym shorts. You can run, jump, and possibly swim in these bad boys.
The only problem with these shorts is that I don't want to wear anything else and I'm turning into that guy who only wears one pair of shorts.Great shorts. Don't look too technical. Don't feel to technical. But they seem to dry quickly and seem rugged. Haven't really put them through their paces yet but I am happy so far.
