I thought I would give these a shot to see how they compare to Smartwool. I have had them for a week and just ordered five more pairs. They are soft and warm, but dont leave your feet all sweaty. These are a little thinner than Smartwool PhD. which is a good thing because they will fit easily into my cycling shoes.

I LOVE these socks! They keep my feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter and I'm on my feet all day.

I have done a marathon in these socks and paced a friend for the last twenty miles of the Tahoe Rim Trail 100 mile race in these socks. No blisters, just a very slight hot spot; but 26 miles on pavement and 20 miles on single track with 4,000' of elevation change, I'm happy with just a little hot spot.
But buy them to fit, and if you have to err, get them just a little loose. Not with wrinkles, but not tight.
Very durable. Heels and soles take a very long time to wear through. A very long time.

Comfortable, wicking, quick drying. I alternated two pairs on a six day ride, washing the off pair each night and air drying as I rode. They were great. Worth every penny.

Comfortable, durable, no blisters, quick-drying. These are recommended by adventurer Andrew Skurka. I'm glad I followed his advice. Wore these for a week in an Arizona wilderness. Very pleased.
