I bought this jacket for my 6 year old daughter. It's perfect weight for our weather in Seattle. It would be perfect to pack because it's light enough to stuff in a bag/suitcase. Very high quality. Love the bright purple color. Would buy again.

So this jacket is for my 8 year old and I bought it in medium. It is a tad big on her, but it will last her for two winters I think. I love how light this coat feels. I think kids are sick and tired of walking around with heavy coats on, I know I am. We saw this on sale and jumped at it. The hood does not come off, and the zipper goes way up to cover their chin. Because it's down you can stuff it in a stuff sack if you are taking it camping. Also, I would recommend wearing it on dry days only. It's dry clean only. Have a backup coat for wet snow days, and for things like sledding. Those require a waterproof shell. A great color in purple. A great buy, especially if it last a couple years.
