I bought the Sugoi Men's S.100 Liner from a local sports shop because I want to make sure the Size L fit me well and I can return and get different size if required. The length is perfect for my gym shorts and the elastic band are not too tight. I tried many different brand of liner over the last few years and some of them are cheaper or more expensive than Sugoi but the problem is chaffing. The Sugoi Men's S.100 Liner does not move during long climb (if you get the right size), very comfortable and breathable. I don't usually put on Chamois lotion and the lining does not chaff especially after 2-3 hrs rides in warm summer weather. The padding is perfect for my comfort which is not too thick or thin and covered just want is required. I hope it last for a while after many washing and I will definitely get more from Amazon for winter biking rides.

I use this in spin class/workout because I am getting tired of the black look of cycling shorts that I have. Never used it in long rides on the road yet. At least with this I can put on an athletic shorts that is not black because as we all know the better quality cycling shorts that have color in them are way more expensive. By the way, I am 65 inches tall 150 lbs and the pants/shorts sizes I buy are size 31. The size runs small because my pearl izumi cycling shorts are all small so if you are going to get one buy one size bigger than your usual.

The padding works perfectly for me, I prefer gel in the bike seat and foam in the liner personally. So far they have done well for both running and riding. They are a translucent/semi-shear "liner" that are longer than my shorts (Soffe Men's Running Short,Black http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003AU5VZQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2). Both the S.100 liner and shorts are translucent/semi-shear, but together provide good coverage. They are super breathable and keep me cool even in the Texas heat.

Aside from just fitting and working great, I can ride then run or visa versa without getting changed. They do provide a moderate amount of compression, enough to stay in place and feel good.

Plus, they have earned numerous compliments from the gals that run/ride the same course I do!

I really like the *No Logo* look the pair provides. Very sexy and clean looking together. Moreover, no one got free ad space on my legs or butt!

Honest reviews on Sugoi Men's S.100 Liner

I wanted to say that they are a liner to make sure people know that they go under other clothes, in my case, shorts.

This liner makes wearing non-biking shorts possible, some days you may not want to wear lycra. Anyone with just a little experience knows that you do need padding if you are going to ride a road bike for anything more than a short period of time and this liner has adequate padding. But, unlike padded biking shorts, this liner does not have extra height in the back. Biking shorts have extra height in the back because you are usually leaning forward quite a bit when riding a road bike. These shorts do not have that extra bit of fabric in the back and so when you lean forward quite a bit to ride your road bike you could be exposing more than a plumber repairing a drain. I guess they would do much better for people riding bikes which aren't road bikes.

I am still giving the liner 4 stars because they are very well made and I wear them often, just make sure you have a longer than normal shirt and you'll be fine. And make sure not to dry these in a dryer, let them air dry.

I purchased a small of these liners, the size I wear in every other liner I've used up until now. When I put them on, they felt tight, but I was under the gun (had a long trip in 3 days with no time to return for another pair), so I thought I'd test them on a day ride and hope that they but might become more accommodating. No such luck. They started out tight and stayed that way. But after 2 hours of riding, the restrictions became downright painful. When I finally got home, I peeled them off as quickly as I could and vowed to never wear them again.

The short story: The small fits like an extra small. Order a size larger from what you normally wear. Don't make the $30 mistake I made.
