I have a small space to practice yoga in, and not a lot of storage. In addition, I have a cat, so the edge of my yoga mat always end up tattered, as she feels that sharpening her claws while I am practicing is the best thing to do, causing me to interrupt my practice to chase off the cat and to readjust the mat, which always slips. With the yoga paws, I don't have to worry about finding a place to store my mat, I don't have to worry about the cat eating it, and my feet and hands stick to the floor like they are glued to it. I also like the cushioning of my hands from the yoga pawsI haven't noticed my fingers tingling after practicing, which is very nice.

The Yoga Paws are awesome, but Amazon should make sure they are offered in the different size options that are available for purchase for the item. The "regular" size offered here is a size 2 and that is for a pretty small hand size. Here is Yoga Paws Sizing chart for reference: Size #1 5 1/2" 6 1/2"; Size #2 7" 8"; Size #3 8" 9 1/2"; Size #4 9" 10 1/2". They do say that the size 2 is their "regular, one size fits most" size, but there should be a better sizing reference for those of us who had no idea of the "sizing" options until we received the package and found out they were too small (and saw the sizing options on the back of the package). I had to return mine, only to find out that Amazon does not offer the option of buying the Size 3 at a reasonable price. :(

The "regular" size that this comes in was too small for me I wear a size women's 9 shoe and to describe my hand size I buy the medium size "playtex" rubber gloves for dish washing. I preferred the "regular" yoga paws to these Elites which I ordered in a size men's small and fit me perfectly. Didn't see too much of a difference between the two materials and for my purposes (pilates reformer for slip resistance) they are great.

I have a major issue with slipping on my yoga mat. The Yoga Paws worked great at holding me in place for those poses I find myself dreading in class. Comfortable fit with a little extra padding, which wrist appreciates. I've been through mats, towels, other hand and feet props with no avail. I'm traveling next month so can't wait to take my Paws with me!! I've used them outside on my deck in the morning (sooo nice) and just put a towel down for padding and protection for knee/elbow postures and savasana.

As a retired massage therapist, and a lover of yoga, I was having pain in my thumb joints during any poses that held weight on my hands. The Yoga Paws provide a little "mat" for my hands giving added grip (which creates less strain), padding for my thumbs and the ability to shift the pressure to the other (healthier) joints. The Yoga Paws are well constructed, comfortable to wear, and the company provides excellent customer service.
