I got the Emerald/Eclipse and the color of the scarf really is that impressive, exactly like the picture. The knit of the scarf is pretty tight but thick so it stops wind well. Its not soft like cashmere but more soft like jersey knit (soft t-shirt material). It doesn't seem to snag easily and is marked cold hand-wash/dry flat or dry clean. I have worn it several times but haven't had to wash it yet, merino wool is supposed to resist odor and I haven't noticed a smell yet. It is very warm and the soft knit of it makes it non scratchy and comfortable. It is my favorite scarf now.

Warm, pretty and made of wool what's not to like. It's soft too which is a bonus. Fairly lightweight so I would not expect it to keep me warm if I was in a major snowfall but for a light sprinkling it was perfect!! The colors on the Emerald/Eclipse scarf are gorgeous. Beautiful, vibrant shades of teal and jade green. I really love the colors but I'm not happy with the way the scarf drapes. It lays very flat and somewhat awkwardly, although the quality of the merino wool is very good.Just another note, this is recommended as Dry Clean Only, in case you're looking for a more low-maintenance scarf.
