Went for a trip to Central America (Panama) for 10 days used it in the rainforest as well as beach, worked really well. While the insect guard is great, be aware that there are some bugs that need DEET so just this shirt alone won't do. However, it is great for keeping mosquitoes and other lesser bugs away.

Fit and function are good. Comfortable to wear, looks good, very light, easy to wash while traveling, doesn't wrinkle easily.

It is impregnated with pyrethrin which will last several to many washings. You can purchase this chemical in spray containers and re-apply as necessary after, say, 8-10 washings. a smidgen pricey but worth not getting bitten by a yellow fever carrying mosquito, or one with encephalitis, etc. I got one for my spouse and she was NOT wearing it the day we had an encounter with aggressive ants in Costa Rica. She got bitten and I (who normally attracts every insect within a half mile) didn't.

Cant' wait to try these shirts out on our upcoming trip to Africa in Dec. '12! Mesh lining, roll up sleeves, too.

Update: Went on the trip and loved this shirt; easy to wash and quick to dry. Not too heavy to wear and was an effective sun protector; and offered protection when the dust kicked up in our jeep. Dried quickly after caught in a brief rain shower.

Perfect color as safari tour required muted colors, no white or bright colors.

I bought the shirt for my husband for our trip to Kenya. It was perfect since we had read about the mosquitos there and he will not use insect repellant. However, it was a very expensive bug repellant and we will probably never have to wash it 70 times.

Just bought an extra set of BugsAway clothes. My wife, an insect attractor, and I used them in the Amazon. We were the least bit members of our group. Others were swatting away, proving the efficacy of the product.

Now we are off to the Mekong Delta, I would not think of going without BugsAway clothes.

The hidden pocket for passport and/or money is helpful. As is the buttons for holding up the rolled sleeves.
