The base layer is light and very functional... as with all Gore. Bought a second one! Runs small. normally i wear a large but purchased xxl to wear as a outerlayer in the summer

I bought this to boost my Fall options for cycling and staying warm. My previous purchase of two thermal biking jerseys left me cold and wondering, "Who calls a jersey 'thermal' when the wind flies thru it and steals your heat?". Well, this base layer saved those jerseys from the charity bin. It's stretchy enough to get on and off, and the wind layer works well. It's also covers a bit more than jerseys with wind block built in. So, I rated it 5 stars. Gore Bike wear runs really small. Normally, I wear a Medium for a racer fit. Needed XL in this one.
