Overall the gloves are roomy but not so much that they fall off. They kept my hands toasty warm in Nemo's 3 feet of snow and beyond. I chose the large and probably could have gone with a medium (my wedding band is 7 1/4) according to OR's size chart I would have been at the maximum length for a medium.
