I bought this initially as a bag to carry items in the back of our SUV (tools, emergency items, etc.)

Recently, we headed out on a trip for the July 4th Holiday (4 days) and we were trying to pack everything up into a diaper bag.

Since this bag arrived the day before, I offered it as an option to pack all the diapers, wipes, blankets, clothes, eating items, etc. It worked like a champ. The fold out pockets (3) and the internal dividers in the center, front, and back sections are phenomenal in organizing everything. I also included a separately puchased dump pouch (for a Nalgene bottle or odds and ends) on the side webbing as well as a few carbiners for attaching a toy or two. The center section also is slightly padded. (Bottles in their own soft cooler bag -canwork in the center compartment if properly closed, but be careful if they need to be vertical constantly.)

At the current price point on Amazon (25 bucks) it is an easy decision for a tool bag. However, if you're in the market for a diaper bag and want something manly, give this one a shot!

I just bought a second bag this week since our SUV still needs a bit of organization... My wife has permanently borrowed the first one.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

EDIT (7/31/2013) Within two days after my review on 7/18/2013, the price of the bag shot up from $25 to the $45 range. At that price, I would reconsider buying this as a "tactical diaper bag" as there are substantially more options out there in the $50 range. This is still a GREAT item, but it's simply not as good of a buy as it was under that price point. Good luck!

EDIT 2 (11/2/2013) My initial review was deleted for some reason by Amazon and I am resubmitting it. I'm speculating that 5.11 doesn't like their gear being considered for uses beyond tools and guns...

The design is well thought out with a large and wide center area, and 2 side pockets which are zippered. One side pocket has three attached "roll-out" compartments. It's perfect for storing medium sized items. and the side pockets will help me organize smaller items. Keep in mind that "large" is a relative term to their other bags. This bag is about 13" long. The handles seem strong and I appreciate it has a shoulder strap.

using this as a gun range bag for one pistol. Ample room for everything you need, fits glock 17 with case in main compartment easily, may even fit two.

Perfect to keep equip and weapons for range fire. Well constructed bag. I would highly recommend. However, it is a little smaller than it appears in the picture.
