I have several other Prana products that work really well. But this short is a bit too tight around the legs for me, for poses like Warrior II and Hanumanasana. Also the waist band is a bit too tight. I also have the same size Pillar and Be Present shorts. Of the three, the Prana short is my third choice. Of course, bodies are different; mileage may vary. Would suggest you try this on in a store, first.

It is a sad comment on our society that 'durable goods' is defined as things that last just >3 years. Clothing is defined as non-durable goods. But most clothing I pick can last decade+. So it is unfortunate that this pRana shorts meets the designation of, for me, perishable goods. The shorts' waistband (the only thing that keeps the shorts on) lasts no longer than 6 months. Beyond that the band's elasticity is gone and the waistband becomes an impotent limped belt that droops and corrugates around the shorts, and the shorts becomes premature high-end recycled rag.

Found that the mediums fit great. I'm 6'2"/180 lbs. wear a 32 x 34 long pant in any brand medium build. Large size was too big. Own a number of prAna shorts and consistently wear mediums. These look great. Like the rear cargo pocket and front pockets. I use for yoga and weight workouts. Could be used for a lot of other activities. Sometimes the waist band folds over, but no big deal to me.

Didn't give 5 stars because something could always be better maybe a drawstring. I've found that any polyester short is warmer than cotton, but these are super lightweight and pack down to nothing.

I already have a pair of these and I'm ordering another. They're super comfortable and easy with the elastic waist. (Note: a long time ago I bought a pair that was technically my size, but I found the elastic too tight -my current pair is a size bigger and despite the fact that that size starts 2" greater than my actual waist size, this pair is perfect.)

Great shorts. Nice for wearing around the house, heading to the grocery store, thing like that. I don't really like them to climb in, however, because they do not have a gusset crotch. This can be annoying when climbing, squatting down to look at something, and even mounting a bicycle. The pinch has surprised me a couple times, and I always think to myself, "Why wouldn't they just put a gusset in these?"

Besides that, good shorts, not my favorite.
