Update, Sept 2013:
I got to really test them on a 14,000 mile motorcycle trip past the arctic circle twice through Canada and Alaska. There were quite a few days of pissing rain lasting all day, not those half hour thunderstorms I mentioned originally. These gloves are good for about an hour and a half of constant rain fall. After that they give up. Once they get wet, fingers start to get cold, although I can't say I got any frost bite, but noticeably cold. However when they are dry, they are pretty warm.

The warmest gloves I have ever owned.I've owned many many pairs of gloves over the past 30 years and these are the only gloves that keep my hands warm.I don't mean for 30 minutes at a time either. They are so warm that I use them when I ride my motorcycle in 25 degree weather to work on my 45 minute commute in the winter.Best gloves.A little bulky but worth the trade off.
