We bought this to take with us to the beach to shade our 8 month old baby. I also wanted a discrete place to nurse her as well.
I set it up at home first to see how difficult it would be it was really easy just three poles used and its up! It was very roomy.
Definately a bit more difficult at the beach to do it, but that's factoring the wind and sand. Still quite easy though.
It was very cool inside, however, not when the front is zipped up (which I tried when I needed to feed the baby) --it got very hot with the front closed up. But it still offered alot of privacy, even with the front part opened up.
It folds up smaller than one of those packageable lounge chairs, very light, and I know its going to be something we use for many years.

The tent was excellent. I was able to fit 4 people comfortably and keep our beach gear in the back of the tent. It kept us cool. Those who wanted to get a little more sun stayed at the outer-edge and at the front of the tent. We got enough breeze through the air-vents. It was no problem to keep clean and maintain. It was easy to assemble, and easy to pack-away. The sand pockets helped a lot, and I had no issues with the tent flying/moving away. Great product!Best Deals for Abo Aerodome Beach Tent
We were given this tent last year and we took it to Myrtle Beach on our vacation and used it for six days. It only lasted the six days we used it the last day the seams ripped completely through where the wall and floor are stitched together. I can't say our week at the beach was any windier than any other time we were there but I do blame the wind. The tent sheltered us from the wind, blowing sand, sun and cigarette smoke from fellow beach-goers. It was compact when packed up we had a mile walk to the beach each day. The tent held up well throughout the week. Even though our tent essentially disintegrated on our last day, we plan to buy one this year because it was such an essential part of our trip. We view it as a disposable item to take with us and we do only expect it to last us a week. I hate that concept, but so be it. If it lasts longer, that'll be another plus for it this year.Honest reviews on Abo Aerodome Beach Tent
Great idea. Very easy to set up and the sand pockets are great at holding it down in the wind. Very light and easy to pack in a suitcase. We had 4 adults and a baby and we were comfortable.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Abo Aerodome Beach Tent
This is the third aerodome tent I have had in the past several years (I gave one away as a gift and the second one was stolen). The first two were great, but unfortunately the manufacturer seems to have worstened the design. (1) The fabric seems flimsier; (2) the poles are about an inch to half-inch too long (the fit is so tight it is almost impossible to stretch the tent enough to fit the poles to the attachments); (3) the sand pockets are now stitched to a silly and non-functional place up on the side walls of the tent (rather than where they were previously as extentions from the bottom floor); (4) there are no holes, loops, or anything else for which to use the plastic stakes, now worthless, that come with the tent in other words, this tent cannot be staked out, so you have to keep it from blowing away by loading heavy things inside it!; and the stuff bag is so undersized it is extremely difficult to get the tent into the bag (actually, I had this same final problem with my two prior aerodome tents as well). But the advantages of the tent over others are that it zips all the way up on front (providing privacy for changing clothes, etc. when necessary) and has a pretty good venting system with two side windows and one back window.I only wish the company would go back to the original design, which was far superior.
