Right Side Inguinal/Groin Hernia Truss Review

As my first truss, I did not really know what to expect. I suppose I still don't, but it has comfortably solved most (90%) of the minor popping out issues I have experienced over the last 2 months.

I like it"s adjustability. I am a tall thin frame person, with a bluejeans size 35" waist, and the medium size fit me fine.

I have replaced the removable pad in this truss, with several other pads, including a hard plastic piece with rounded edges, a polyurethane foam piece I shaped myself, and a bean bag hackeysack. All seemed to have some benefit, but none was perfect for every situation or body stress position. I am still looking for the perfect pad to slip in to the nicely made pocket in this truss.

Do I recommend this item? Yes! ..... I will be ordering another one soon, but I also wonder if there are more expensive ones with metal support designs that would be somewhat more effective in controling the herniation all the time, but I suspect they may not be as comfortable as this one is in most situations.

I like this truss a lot. It has an adjustable pad and all velcro adjustments. No metal for the airport. It works well to keep my hernia in and I like it for riding my bike and other activities. I would say it offers very good support, however, the pad is not especially large. If you feel you need extra support, you may want to consider the Lumiscope Golden Crown trusses. There are some other brand names that are similar with the 2 snaps in the front. They have a large pad and you can cinch them tightly. I put that one on if I'm doing something especially strenuous but they do have metal.

I ordered this truss on the basis of several comments as well as other discussions on the Internet about such items. Previous reviews were close to my own experience and I'd have to say I'm generally pleased with the product. I was looking for a temporary solution until I can figure out whether to have the hernia surgically repaired and if so by whom. I'm very leery of hospitals in general and surgeons in particular since thousands of people die each year as a result of "complications" from what should have been routine surgery (the surgery was a success but the patient died -did you every hear of that?!!).

My primary care physician advised to do some watchful waiting to see if it got worse or could be contained/supported with an external truss. So far, the truss wins by a small margin and the rupture has not gotten noticably worse. The truss is comfortable to wear all day but it is very important to get it property positioned directly over the break, but once that is done, it provides good support with no discomfort. I'll order another soon so that one can be run through the wash while wearing the other. The best feature is that it provides me the time to sort through the various repair options and find a surgeon who is highly experienced with such procedures and has a good track record of success and no "complications."

Overall it's a nice comfortable truss for a single hernia. It has helped me continue my intense gym workouts and is easy to wear. I got a medium but it seems to have stretched out a bit as I like to wear it tight but the Velcro does not line up when I pull it tight. Perhaps a small would have worked better but I went with the recommended size. My waist is a 34. I may ge another while the other is taking a bath. I wear it all day long so it's comfortable to an extent. I would recommend it to all my hernia buds!

The product is fine, but the directions could be clearer. The side portion of the waist band consists of two layers with Velcro in between. Just spread the layers apart, then pull the strap through the opening.

This is not a baggy relaxed 3X. It is somewhat a form fitting 3X for a man who is fairly close to correct height/weight proportion. It is a good value proposition for the price conscious.

This year I had an opportunity to spend winter in Russia. Right on the second day of being there it was 5F and as severe snowfall as 10 inches per hour. The car got stuck in snow. No phone connection. No other cars. So we had to clear the way ahead of the car with shovels under relentlessly falling snow.

This hat saves. Trust me.

And I completely disagree that the hat is ugly. I find it stylish. Girls love it.

Pros:

When hat ears are down, your nape is shielded from the wind, your ears and cheeks kept warm. This is important to not feel the cold.

The hat is made of material that keeps your head dry under rain or sleet.

Tested in the real cold. Like -10F. It kept me warm. And at the same time you don't sweet in 32F too.

It is well made. Fur is great and pretty.

IMO it is stylish.

Cons:

Haven't found any.

I've got the L/XL size CG Aviator hat of MID GREY color last winter, and i really love it, the material is the same as those classic CG parka and jacket. the thickness of down insulation is a little bit flimsy. and the Coyote fur ruff visor and ear flaps are really handsame and helpful to keep warm. and i got another black one a few days ago at a great promotion prise. very happy. for the size referance, my head circumference is about 62cm. the hat is just fit me a little bit snug. So for guys with bigger head should be careful on choosing this model.

A client of ours came in the office wearing this skirt and I fell in love with it--it looked so cute on her. I asked her about the skirt then jumped on Amazon, ordered it, and waited for it arrive, hoping it would look cute on me, too. It did! I wore it on Saturday evening with a cute black top and got many compliments.

The fabric is a good weight with a just-right stretch and the stripes are exactly the right width. And, amazingly, the skirt was long enough (I am 5'10").

First go to Mechanix website and print off the size chart and buy the right size. I have been buying too big of gloves for too long because I thought I had manly large hands...well I only have medium manly hands. I didn't believe the chart so went to a home store tried on the Mechanix gloves in medium and they fit 100 x better than the large.

I bought the Camo, all black (stealth) and the coyote of these Mechanix gloves so I can be tacticool!

I use them at the shooting range, I use them on cold days as driving gloves. None of the home stores around had the 3 tacticool colors, plus they are cheaper on amazon.com.

Now only if they made a pair in multi-cam so when the zombies come at me, they think to themselves...man that guy is all geared out and really cool looking. Then I place one between their eyes due to my awesome weapon control because I am wearing these cool gloves. Plus these gloves will keep your hands clean so when you rescue that hotty from being eaten you can take your gloves off and shake her hand and not worry about giving her cooties.

These gloves are so good I had to buy a second pair! I bought the camo pair for hunting. I typically am not a glove wearer during deer rifle season in Pennsylvania or during late season muzzle loader due to the bulkiness of most gloves. These, although not insulated, will be great to keep in my pockets for those particularly bitter mountain mornings. They do not obstruct trigger pull and you can feel the trigger.

I got these for my boyfriend and he really loves them. He usually hates wearing gloves, but he works for periods of time outside and MI winters can get ugly. I got these with silk liners for some extra warmth if necessary, and he wears the liners sometimes but doesn't always need them. He likes that the he still can use a pen or pick things up with these gloves on and it doesn't interfere with his dexterity. I'm just happy to have found gloves he will actually wear!! This jacket was chosen after a lot of research. It seemed like just what I needed and at a price I could live with. It has yet to fail me; no water at all got through. Living in the northwest, I will definitely be using this throughout the year. The fit is less like bike clothes and more like regular clothes. I'm a size 4/6 and the small fit me; usually, I need a medium for cycling clothes so hope that helps.
