I ordered these biking shorts in order to avoid a second set of tan lines. They are perfect! Not too short at all. Very comfortable when biking. I bike 15-20 miles , 6 days a week. They have plenty of padding. I ordered a medium. I wear a size 6 in pants, I'm 144 lbs and my height is 5'5. Price is a little steep, but quality is great and should last a long time. Hope this helps for those considering to purchase.

I followed the size guide and ordered a size small (5'10" 150 lb female), which were too small. I exchanged them for a medium which fit great!Best Deals for Pearl Izumi Women's Sugar Shorts
I was a little skeptical about all the positive reviews for these shorts, but I ordered them to give them a try and everyone was right! They fit great (even though they are a little short for my taste), and the chamois padding helps me focus on all the elements of Spin class and not just how much pain I'm in! High quality short definitely recommend to anyone who takes indoor cycling!Honest reviews on Pearl Izumi Women's Sugar Shorts
This is a very basic pair of cycling shorts; works for its intended use. I'm not really a fan of Pearl Izumi, but it's the shortest pair of bike shorts that I could find without much searching & it's great for minimizing a bike shorts tan line.Sizing I find Pearl Izumi to be sized slightly larger than most of the other brands that I wear. I have not had the opportunity to find this in a size XS, but the size S that I have is very roomy, not enough for compression, good for a casual ride. I am generally an XS in everything (I am 5'0'', 110 lbs, lean but very muscular build). The other brands that tend to fit better for my type of frame & build tend to be Assos, Giordana, and Castelli; Sugoi's stuff is good, but tends to run a bit small in their sizing for their bike shorts.

Bought these for my wife and riding partner. She really enjoys them for the most part. They fit well so far as the width is concerned, and the chamois is sufficient for most rides (up to about 30 mi. is where she feels comfortable with them as a newer rider.)
The legs don't seem to ride up or down, which was my biggest concern with these shorts.
The only con's so far is that she doesn't really like the higher waist. I realize it is for cycling and you don't want to be showing your back to everyone, but on a smaller person they will ride higher than necessary. PI needs to make a petite version that doesn't ride so high.
In comparison to my P.R.O. shorts from PI the quality isn't bad at all, the fit isn't as refined and the chamois leaves a bit to be desired.
