I wanted a hat for working and running outdoors. My requirements for the hat include the need to keep the sun off of my head and out of my eyes, stay on my head while I move about, and keep the sweat out of my eyes. I selected the "oyster" color, which is the lightest color, so that the hat does not become too hot in the sun. The hat is 100% cotton, except the buckle, eyelets, and tags, and washes right in the laundry with my other dirty clothes. The nice buckle adjustment and wide band are secure enough to keep it tight around my head so that, even in a stiff wind, it stays put while engaging in physical activities, yet it is very comfortable to wear for hours. It is very absorbent, so I don't have sweat running into my eyes. It has held up well, even after several washings, and I suspect it will keep looking good as it ages. I have ordered three more so that I likely will have one handy any time I find myself out in the sun. In appearance, the picture provided here on Amazon is accurate. I recommend this hat for its design, construction quality, and suitability for my requirements.

I read many reviews on Amazon regarding it not fitting people with large heads. Having a large noggin, I was naturally a little concerned when I ordered it, but for the price (under $10), I figured worst case scenario I could give it to my kid if it didn't fit.The hat fits great. I'm not sure if the reviews claiming it being too small were written by individuals resembling The Great Gazoo or what, but I have tons of room to adjust the hat to accommodate a more spherically endowed cranium.
In short, get the hat... You won't be disappointed regardless of your head size, unless you are freakishly like Sputnik.

This hat is great. The adjustment strap is not velcro, which is nice, and the adjustment strap tucks neatly into a slot on the hat to avoid hanging out and flapping in the wind.The adjustment strap is very long, allowing for people with big heads or big hair to wear the hat comfortably. The bill is longer than other hats I've had, offering more protection from the sun.
I like that it is organically grown, causing less toxic invasion of chemicals to our soil and earth, but it was made on the Asian continent thousands of miles from here, adding to its footprint. I would have preferred something made in Canada, Mexico, or the USA as they're much closer.
The hat is very nice, functional, and adjustable.
