I purchased this jacket looking for something more sturdy than what I had had for years. The construction of the liner and shell and how they almost seamlessly mesh is impressive. The price point is a little high, but for long, cold nights at the fire department or EMS, comfort can go a long way. It's very warm and but the vents make thermo-management easy. The reflective striping is, as expected, quite visible day or night and pockets galore. The fit is true to other 5.11 gear, no need to order a size larger. If you are comfortable in a medium polo or shirt, a medium jacket will be plenty flexible enough (no need to layer with this jacket). I'm looking forward to years of use with it and it feels strong enough to handle the abuse and weather it'll surely be exposed to.

This jacket is really nice, although it's missing a couple things. The main one being no pockets on the inside of the fleece liner. It would be a big plus if there were some big "junk" pockets inside the liner so you could quickly drop things in. There is a nice big mesh one inside the shell that is perfect, but only accessible when you are not wearing the liner. Another thing I think this jacket (and most jackets) is missing is a sturdy strap or loop for hanging on a hook. When you have the liner and some gear in this jacket, it can be quite heavy. Hanging it on the tiny little fabric loop sewn into the neck seems risky. The loop should be reinforced with some heavier stitching or material.
This jacket is, however, top of the line. Smooth zippers, tight snaps and quality construction. It is super dry even in heavy rain and wind. When combined with the liner this jacket is one of the warmest and driest I have owned.

Awesome product and awesome service. Moving to a much colder climate and this heavy duty, sharp coat is just what I'll need when the temperature plummets. Item arrived in just a couple of days and this coat is nice, warm and no funky smell like you sometimes get when opening an item-kudos to these guys-
