The material is light weight enough to be cool but durable enough for work / hiking/ etc. My husband works outside and has been wearing these on days that start cool and will get hot. Easy to zip the legs on and off.

I was happily surprised at the quality of these pants. They are RUGGED and have very nice features. The pant legs easily zip off and the pants themselves have lots of great pocket space. I can see these pants surviving the challenging terrain I love to go through on my outdoor adventures. I will definitely buy these again.
